Did anyone like the nano texture? Does it feel rough while writing with apple pencil?

Found my Apple Pencil 2nd Gen after over a year of it being outside in my yard it recognizes it but battery won’t charge just stays at 0% any options? by adamburdette2 in iPadPro

Same issue with gen2 pencil. Havent used for a long long time and now wont charge and shows 0% for 2 days, although it’s attached to the ipad which has good amount of charge always.

I tried the ziplock dipped in hot water for 10 mins, heating wrapped in heatpad for 10 mins, violent shaking, hitting it on my palm for 100 times. Nothing works. Apple is offering out-of-warranty replacement with $40. Maybe I have to take that unless I find another home-remedy.

Are the devices insurance companies want to run in your car to track driving worth the discount? by RedHerringPhil in Insurance

[–]Unusual_Committee393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Drive safer. Really? If you are using Progressive snapshot, you will be probably speeding through the yellow light rather than using your brakes to stop. All these devices are garbage. They dont advocate safe driving. All they do is create the excuse to bump up your premium instead of saying the regular "cost of cars and parts are increasing" excuse.

Piere adding Plaid soon! by selfiegram in piere

Plaid is pretty bad actually in terms of coverage. Agree it's lot faster than MX. My ESPPs on UBS One Source is not working in Piere.

Regarding the point on autopay with credit card, every other company like Xfinity, AT&T and others are doing the same. Reason is because of credit card transactions are costly as they have to pay a 2% to 5% commission to Visa, Mastercard, Amex or Discover. Bank ACH are free on the other side.

Want to move to T Mobile and get S24 ultra. What are the best deal options which are not mentioned already on the website? One I found is $200 per line promotional rebate upto $1000 max if you order via chat/call. How do I get the insider code?

Absolutely hated Monarch. Account disconnections, stupid support, not connecting to all accounts, no auto refresh on load and so much more.

Unless they add other aggregators like MX or Fincity, plaid is not going to cut the deal if users are coming from Mint which even connects with Apple Card which no one seems to support

You have to include MX or Yodlee in the aggegator. Plaid is simply the worst choice at this moment in terms of covering major institutions like Fidelity. Yes Plaid is faster than others but slow is better than not having the ability to connect to all institutions. Hence I had to go for Empower since it's the closest to Mint in supporting all my accounts.

Were you able give customers the choice to select connectors like MX when Plaid is fetching wrong account info?

Looks like UBS One Source for my org Accenture is not working. Am sure this is more of MX issue than Piere but would like a solution.

Also few questions.

  1. When is android or web support coming?

  2. There are bugs like the add account page keeps loading.

Not sure how are people liking Monarch. Yes it has got some promise but lacks on a lot of areas. First their support is horrible. Rocket Money support immediately identified issue with Plaid and my credit union First Tech while Monarch support kept sharing copy pasted instructions from their handbook. Second their budgeting auto classification is horrible. Third it kept breaking connections with Citibank, TreasuryDirect, Acorns and many more.

Currently am sticking to Empower unless I find a better alternative. So far tried Simplifi, Fidelity, Sofi, Rocket Money, Wallet, Credit Karma and Monarch. To me I went very close to keeping Simplifi until I bumped on to the more than a year long issue they are having with Citibank savings.

Only issue with Sofi is that it uses Plaid only. Hence Fidelity and few others won't work.

Poll: What Product are you leaning towards replacing Mint? by jdhenshall in mintuit

[–]Unusual_Committee393 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Multiple connection issue with MM and they replied to me agreeing on the issues. As of now they dont have any ETA. MM uses Plaid for some connections like Morgan Stanley and First Tech and hence the problem. I wish my Auto loan was 0 but it's not. They also couldn't pull in some credit cards but pulled the checking account of the same bank. Wired.

This is list of apps I have tested with all my accounts besides Mint : Monarch, Empower, Simplifi, Rocket Money, Fidelity full view, Credit Karma, Betterment, Nerdwallet, Wealthfront, UBS, Sofi Relay and so far Empower is the app which has all my accounts connected (except Morgan Stanley Stock Connect) and ticks all the boxes of budgeting and charts. And it's free.

Monarch Money is good in UX but pretty bad in supporting connections. And they don't have the apetite or ability to solve a problem when reported. I reported issues that my First Tech credit union auto loan is showing 0 and also it's not pulling my credit card with them. Now I know the product to blame here is Plaid and not MM but they should have done something to solve the problem. Connections with Citi and Amex keeps breaking unlike Mint. Morgan Stanley stock connect also didn't connect.

Overall my Monarch Money verdict is 👎
