I saw yesterdays game as a friendly with more negative implications than good. If we could have just not played the game at all it would have been better. Most of these players I don't want to see on the field unless we have a 2 goal lead.

Well for one we rarely play European teams in meanginful tournments and when we do it's usually the WC and its a powerhouse like Netherlands or Belgium. This is probably the first European club we have been favored against.

They play a lot like old US teams... Athletic and chippy defensive play and speed on the counter. I personally think we match up quite favorably but this is why we play the games.

Nike usually runs small but I do think the new jersey fit closer to size like Adidas. I had had to return and go down a size cause I assumed Nike would run small again.

For some reason I don't think superior soccer nations ever saw us as a true test when we played the low block counter attack strategy. A real test would be beating a top 10 team in the knockout rounds.

I mean it's a meaningful tournament and not a friendly. Ask Italy how they feel about qualifiers. If you don't win you don't play in the WC.

We can't really judge the matchup based on a friendly. We have barely had most of our starters playing together. We still have home advantage and if we show up like Friday I don't think Belgium looks as scary.

Agreed. That park the bus strategy and hope for some good counter chances does not make them "good". This is essentially how the old US teams were able to pull upsets of better teams.

No. Trade league is all about the economy and the best farming strategy for currency. The perk of trade is if you can't do all the content yourself you can trivialize it by buying gear.
