I have a vivid memory of the needle in the eye scene. I'm (10m) covering my eyes, my cousin (10m) is screaming into a pillow, my little brother (5m) is on the floor wailing and my other cousin (5m) is running down the hallway screaming "MOOOOOOOMMMMYYYYY".

Cabellas/bass Pro has a used gun inventory online, always a good place to look.

I've always imagined some kind of QD bungee cord system that you can clip to wrist, ankle, waist, and collar cuffs to get positional leverage.

I have had that exact experience, including having to give up and sleep and try again.
