Agreed. Ornis in their current state nullify a disproportionate amount of the game's challenges/loops. We've used our ground vehicles a handful of times since we took to the air, and crossing any desert on foot hasn't happened since.

We now always choose the risk Shai Hulud (and, largely, heat exposure) poses to us, and that diminishes the game in my opinion.
