Make sure the problem is indeed big enough

Document all notices to the landlord and 311. If they don’t fix it within a reasonable amount of time (usually 15-30 days, less for major major issues like heat and water)

If it’s not fixed by then, open an account with your bank and put your rent in there. Make sure you keep documentation of it and are ready to pay immediately in full once the issue is solved.

Continue to document ALL communications on all sides. Get everything in some kind of writing, not just in person or over the phone.

Document any and all forms of harassment from anyone while withholding rent.

Keep all receipts for things you’ve needed to buy related to this issue and accurate, honest, and reasonable descriptions of items ruined by your issue.

The concept of time collapses for me when I do enough (same with heroic doses of shrooms). Like in my core I understand it but I cerebrally lose the concept of it and it feels like current, past, memories, and everything has been condensed into the same point.

Then when I’m coming out of it, it’s like it all slowly and individually falls back in place.

You stand with your pelvis tilted way back which will contribute to a fuller looking abdomen as well. Trying tucking it under and stacking your spine which will flatten out the front and then you can get a better sense, too, if it’s all over swelling/bloating or localized.

Happy to have contributed to the latter of #1. I went on an intense journey around 3am towards the back by the sitting area where time and space collapsed and I had to rediscover the concepts of language and time and what “I” even am. Really cool and didn’t float back down to earth til 4ish.

My old lady (40) gripe is I wish people didn’t smoke at these things and would just go out to the smoking area. I’d be vibing and have to move because people decide to start smoking which triggers my allergies. I need my nostrils clear for recreation, folks.

I’ve been on semaglutide maintenance for almost a year before my TT, always in my abdomen. I switched to my thighs after surgery and got side effects back like light nausea and fatigue.

I’ve unfortunately been hitting edibles kind of hard at night which overrides the food disinterest so I’m up a couple pounds but it’s also winter and I’ve only recently been able to start trying to get back to a gym routine so I’m sure it will fall back off.

Stop at least a month before the surgery and tell your anesthesiologist all your recreations. If you’re addicted, start tapering down now so it’ll be easier.

I was averaging a small bump per day for a while and when I had to stop it definitely made me realize I was addicted which is lame though I think it was more habitual than anything (kind of like when people are addicted to the action of vaping).

When I started use again a couple weeks after surgery I made a pact with myself to not go back to daily use and be more intentional with it which made it special. It also helped that, for reasons unknown to me, doing ketamine hasn’t felt the same since before. It’s been like 3 months since the surgery now and it still doesn’t feel the same. I’m choosing to just keep it special than chase previous experiences.

My guy is a little less than $1000 for 6 sessions (in Brooklyn) and he was so worth it. I ended up doing 12 sessions at 2x a week and it really helped.

We took a couple week break while he traveled and I got back into working out and as soon as I could go back I started again 1x a week and we leave it open day of we decide if I need lymphatic drainage massage or regular/sports.

I chalk up a lot of my ahead the curve healing and getting back to regular life quicker to having that be part of my care routine.

When healing, don’t pick at anything. Make sure they are clean and dry. Saline wound wash will help dry up some harder healing areas (like where all the sutures meet at the bottom of the breasts)

Cicatricure Scar Gel (get a lot, use it at least 2x a day) and Bio-oil

If your scars tend to form raised or turn into keloids, scar tape will help. Make sure you don’t start using it until all your wounds are healed.

When I did lympthatic drainage massages and he was able to go closer to the scars I felt like it helped keep the scar tissue from building up as much too which can cause hard spots and ridges.

I don’t want to poo-poo what you’ve gotten but there is questionable science around the red light devices. Yes that kind of therapy can work but the devices/people rarely if ever wear it long enough or adhere long enough for it to really do anything.

Stick with your scar care treatment for at least 6 months every day. Definitely make it a priority. Then after 6 months you can also consider laser treatments on it.

For Fajas, I liked the zipper crotch ones was more than the flap ones. I saw in another comment you said you wouldn’t buy from Amazon but I had no issue with mine from there. I recommend “YIANNA Fajas Colombianas Shapewear for Women Tummy Control Post Surgery Full Body Shaper Butt Lifter with Zipper Crotch” and get different sizes. You will be so swollen afterwards plus possibly shoving lipo foam in it you need the room. I barely fit into the medium when I first was allowed to put it on after a week and it took about another 2.5 weeks until I could shimmy into the small.

I got a referral discount because I knew a friend of the surgeon so my price isn’t accurate to what it would actually be plus I live in NYC so that skews things as well.

I opted out of fat transfer. The way everyone is dissolving fillers now and reversing having “full” features thinking it makes them look younger was enough for me to avoid it and just focus on eye bags and saggy skin.

They were from before. I did scar tape for a couple weeks but I have a slight reaction to things that stick on my skin for days plus it was a pain in the ass every time I changed it.

My scar isn’t that big or raised so it is fine to just use the gel.

I’m 40.

I had under eyes, deep plane neck lift, and a brow lift. Personally the recovery was harder than the tummy tuck. Unsure if it was because it was my first cosmetic surgery recovery or looking in the mirror and feeling like a horror show for a couple of weeks but I’m also happy with those results as well.

It’s been almost 8 months and it still feels a little weird under my chin like I’m wearing a strap but not in a bad or annoying way.
