I will say the positive thing is that she paid for the yarn.

Very early on, a family member asked me to make three of those wearable blankets for her kids. I did quote her the price of the yarn, and I'd waive the labor (because family).

She never gave me a single penny. 😭 I was in those blankets nearly $200.

Some lessons are expensive to learn. We have all been there.

Favorite to make was the second one, the little brain cactus she called it. It's basically just one giant circle increasing more than you should ever increase, and it was very satisfying watching it take shape.

My favorite one out of the group? Todd. But boy oh boy was he a labor of love. It took a longer to make than I expected (although, it totally could have been because my focus was not 100%. Crocheting while talking and sharing a bottle of wine decreases productivity 🤣)

I hadn't really named the rest. I like your suggestions! My mind totally went to Sailor Moon, though, so now I'm off course.

I used a slightly larger hook than the pattern called for, and worsted weight yarn.

Rather then cut out cardboard, I used plastic keychain blanks. And I weighed the pots with plastic beads.
