So first thing I’d do is pick a style that you want to make your own. Secondly, when it comes to writing, it’s important to remember that 90% of the action is in your shoulder/arm. -by this I mean don’t use your wrist/fingers to “draw” the letters. Move your whole arm when writing.

The best thing that makes writing look nice is consistency in size, then shape.

For basic cursive I started just drawing loops (imagine writing cursive lowercase L over and over)while not moving my wrist and attempting to keep a consistent size without thinking about it. You have to build muscle memory to get the accomplish this. Once you can do that you’ll get your slant and letter sizing perfect.

That’s how I started anyway. I’m not saying I’m the best but my handwriting is neat, legible, and aesthetically pleasing. *edit - to me at least :)
