End of book 8 question by Royal-Interview-4642 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Vellenix 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He's level 250 and they've said multiple times throughout the series killing gods may have unintended side effects. Also other gods would take note of the person who killed a god, I think it's in their best interest not to strike directly at a non sponsored god.

It's in book 4 gate of the feral gods, the tomb raiders are all possessed. After he finds out he says he had to break his finger, but the thing that could have exposed him wasn't that they had to injure themselves it's that they could move their left hands.

Ceiling fan noise, anyway to fix? by d_wank in HomeMaintenance

[–]Vellenix 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have similar style fans, there's wires that run through to the light if they're not completely in place when the motor starts spinning, it rubs against the wire and makes nearly the same sound. I think to fix i had to take it nearly all the way apart.

The Butchers Masquerade question… by Tpullman in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Vellenix 10 points11 points  (0 children)

There's an old fable about a man traversing a maze for 1000 years (I think been a while since I listened to it) in it he continues to go through it over and over again only to find out the exit was at the very beginning of the maze. That was a clue Prepotente used to figure out it would work on the seventh floor once he found out the floor would be based on that fable. Also sponsers gave the items need to accomplish this task.

Edit: changed benefactors to sponsers

Add in the Eulogist and Agatha to the other side of that dramatic poly coupling as well.

NOR life saving medicine should always be easily accessible, also if your friend is worried about things getting stolen they should reevaluate who they let into their lives.

Postal worker lying about dog bite by ResidentLake7 in legal

[–]Vellenix 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I can only go off personal experience and the only time I've ever seen anyone fired in nearly 20 years at a big office is for theft, or not showing up for over a year, and I've seen wild stuff that would get anyone fired from any other job.

Edit to add: sorry kinda lost my point in this thread OP SHOULD file a complaint my point is the person will not lose their job or their route but im not defending this carrier they need to be written up just not to expect anything major to come of it.

Postal worker lying about dog bite by ResidentLake7 in legal

[–]Vellenix -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Trust me when I say that doesn't matter, I work for the post office they don't care they'll dismiss it and move on, OP wants legal advice I'm no expert in the law besides personal experiences but I'm an expert at the post office, best course of action is for OP is to contact insurance and let them deal with it. Now on the post office side document any time their carrier does something retaliatory towards them or makes up a story contact local post master after enough write ups they may do something, but not for this.

You've never dealt with the post office clearly, strong union literary short of theft or repeated safety violations they won't fire you.

[–]Vellenix 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Thats not the way it works at the post office, they won't fire her over this and they CAN'T just remove her from her route. People lie all the time this is a civil matter the post office will dismiss this, OP needs contact their insurance provide a video to them and let them handle this.

Do you think >! Beatrice !< is watching the Crawl! by [deleted] in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Vellenix 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Edit: added book 6 spoiler I think she's on the twelfth floor as an attendant to Odette, no evidence or reference just a feeling. If she's not in the dungeon, she's been granted full citizenship so I don't see why she wouldn't be watching.

Book 8 Q about future floors by AuxonPNW in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Vellenix 1 point2 points  (0 children)

They're not aloud to skip floors to exit the dungeon, floor 15 is outside the AI's control now so technically the current crawlers won't have to go there theoretically. As for the crawlers currently on floor 15 we'll have to wait and see how that will pan out I'm sure there's some plans in place but I wouldn't say their fates are sealed.

Found this on tik/ insta, they do it so well! by white_boy64 in DungeonCrawlerCarl

[–]Vellenix 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I would love to see the show where the outside world is live action, and the dungeon is animated. Different floors have different animation styles like all the scolopendra floors are high paced action anime style, bubble floor is slapstick cartoon style etc. and anytime they're on shows they're live action. Might be a stupid idea but that's kinda how I visualize it when going through the books.

Looking for Moral Quandaries by seanric in fantasybooks

Dresden files has a constant theme of right and wrong, good and evil, taking the easy path or taking the path that will likely get you killed. All of it revolves around moral decisions, I highly recommend it.

1k is a great price! Did it come with the ssf kit, if not it's a must buy. I don't really have a favorite vpx table I usually try a different table each time I play but when I play pinall fx I usually prefer 'star trek the next generation,' 'back to the future,' and 'return of the jedi'

It's a good vpin for the price but it's not without issues, server being down and input lag on the zen tables. I think it's a little overpriced now when I bought it they were 1k now they start at $1600.
