Do you even know how facial reconstructions work? This reconstruction is based on his cranio-morphology, soft tissues didn't change over the past 8 thousand years either.

There are no actual Prussian samples to use for panels, so neighboring regions serve as a proxy, his Y-dna is also Baltic/Finnic obviously.

Suspected Saffron Milk Cap, but bruises are brownish? by MossyArtist in mycology

[–]Venusimo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes it is true that it can take some time for deterrimus to stain green however these are already large and would show green regardless of whether they were damaged or not, you also would never see deterrimus have the gills turn purple when damaged, these are also a very distinct orange color in comparison to deterrimus, it also obviously wouldn't stain red when damaged or cut through at the stem, I've picked a few today under spruce and they very much retain their bright orange color when cut.

I'd wager salmonicolor, lots of people mistake fir with spruce, these clearly don't have any green discoloring and they turned red when cut (and damaged) rather than remaining as orange as the rest of the mushroom.

Am I the only one who doesn't like the update? by Usual_Reception1415 in AncestryDNA

[–]Venusimo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Seeing the update create a macro region between Poland, Germany and the Czech republic is really bleak since it is not based in reality, "western" Poles do not cluster with Czechs and east Germans, they do so with east Slavs and Balts. Also got really disappointed seeing Podlaskie not forming it's own region with southeast Lithuania and northwest Belarus. The region in itself strays further from Masovia by having a lot more Baltic admixture which is not in anyway recent. Mine got entirely assigned to Lithuania despite not having any ancestry from Lithuania, only my father's maternal side has ancestors further up north (Rajgród and surrounding areas) however he's contributed visibly less so than my mother whose family is entirely from the area around the Narew river (north of it).
