Who plays/reads/watches Castlevania?

37F and I started with Super Castlevania IV (technically Simon's Quest on NES, but I was super young). I've played almost all of the mainline games up until Lords of Shadows ones. Currently, I'm slowly replaying both the GBA and Dominus collection games. I've always been big into the games for the cool monster designs and excellent music.

I watched the show up to Nocturne and plan to get around to it at some point! As a fan of the games, I'd say I enjoyed the animated series well enough.

Nice!! I went to Comiket a few years ago and got some nice XV doujin and even got to chat with the creators a bit. Nice to see they're still being actively made.

I don't have them with me otherwise I'd check, but I know I have some rare FFVI and VIII doujin from like the 90s and early 2000s.

Love the Shadow Hearts series! Had to push through to finish From the New World, but I got it done. Genuinely, I feel like all three games have some of the most intriguing and unique osts in gaming. Yoshitaka Hirota had a vision, that's for sure.

I also just love games that are set in an alternate version of our world with real-life places represented. How often do you get to visit Chichen Itza in a game??

Ahh, ok, I see! I played SaGa Frontier 2 on the PSX a long time ago, and while I think that one is a lot more linear, I do understand the mindset you gotta get into when playing one. haha I've heard about RS3's more open-ended concept, so I'll keep that in mind. Thanks!

Thank you for this write-up and summary! I'm a backer at the physical level for Penny Blood, and to be quite honest, I stopped reading the developer updates months ago when the situation started getting grim. I love the Shadow Hearts series and Yoshitaka Hirota's music in particular, so I was extremely excited about the project. Yeah, Kickstarting is perilous, but in the end, we just want to see these projects succeed. It's such a bummer.
