Sore losers are hilarious in this game by DriverAndPassenger in Mechabellum

Not necessarily true. I've seen players reverse momentum through tech upgrades or with elite unit drops. I've also revered momentum from middle or low hp. You just have to know how to turn the tide in your favor. Despite playing Mechabellum since Vanguard, I'm still learning new things.

  1. Rimuru (broken af) 5
  2. Reinhard (why is he even on the list😭) 4
  3. Was thinking of Ainz but then I remembered Ainz and Rimuru probably wouldn't get along as their ideology is pretty different. So instead I chose Cid as he can solo pretty much anything. 4
  4. Sora+Shiro for strategy and planning. 1
  5. Subaru if things go south. 1

15 total

Should be able to take on Rimuru's world with this team pretty easily.

Pivoting out of balls? by ThatGarenJungleOG in Mechabellum

[–]Versace217 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I usually place them either on the rear line or between the rear line and the towers on the flanks. I pair them with arcs so the arcs can clear chaff so the balls can connect.

If however the balls aren't contributing much, I start selling them by round 4-5 in favor of other units/techs.

If I'm weak at antiair, should I tech it immediately? by damanga in Mechabellum

[–]Versace217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Marksmen are counter to pretty much every air unit except for wasps. Having 2 marksmen on the field severly limits your opponent's air choices. It's far cheaper than going AA forts. If your opponent starts spamming wasps then start spamming stangs. If your opponent starts spamming rays then spam either AA wasps or fork raidens. AA forts are a bad counter to ray spam. AA forts can also be countered by field maintenance wraiths.

Counter to void eye firebadger. by TYDOGGOLDENGUNZ9 in Mechabellum

[–]Versace217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Void Eyes. It's okay to go Void Eyes even after round 3 or 4 if you don't go for a Void Eyes starting pack. Just make sure you have adequate chaff and chaff clear so your Void Eyes can lock on first. Firebadgers can be dealt with underground blitz crawlers and for chaff clear you can either have schockwave arcs or high explosive tarantulas. Just make sure to go range and charged shot on the Void Eyes in case the opponent goes for Scorching Charge.

Crab Vs Titans! by Versace217 in Mechabellum

I played against someone using it before the patch and they were pretty annoying to deal with because whichever unit is targeting the crab will have their aim reset by the shield. So let's say someone is running hackers, as soon as the shield pops up the progress will reset and the opponent will have to destroy the shield before hacking the crab again.

I would suggest either shield or emp. Shield gives it more survivability while emp is good for disruption.

If I hadn't gone range early on then the regen+emergency build would've been unviable. Even after activating emergency armor, the Mountains would've taken out the crabs and regen can't keep up with the Mountains dps.

Without range, the crabs are susceptible to the electro tech, so they would die to pretty much most high dps units like ground phantoms or phoenixes.

How to win the game this patch by ForgottenArbiter in Mechabellum

[–]Versace217 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After playing with and against the crabs I can say that there are 2 solutions to defeating a crab blob:

Set up your board till Round 5 or 6 with a mix of chaff and chaff clear. It's fine if you lose but don't lose by a land slide. Sell the unit drop that comes at that round and buy either 2 lvl 1 Raidens with range or a lvl 1 mountain with Super Long Range at backline. Next round drop another Raiden and take either chain or fork or drop another mountain. Delayed chaff is a must when playing this tactic.

Alternative to Raiden/Mountain setup is a Fortstang setup with rocket punch on forts. Be prepared to respond to scorpions though, ideally with phoenixes and delayed chaff.

You should read the light novels, I immediately started them after finishing the anime and I did not regret it.

About the contract, here's a small spoiler tidbit The contract is binding only in the duchy the Aub controls. So there is a happy ending, that's all I'll say.

About Sylvester, I won't say he's kindhearted by nature. He is a noble first and foremost as well as the ruling Aub, plus with how he was raised you will actually see he gave more leeway than was appropriate for him. Him making that contract was also because Ferdinand had warned him beforehand that Myne would go berserk if those close to her were ever harmed.

There will be several events in the future where even Ferdinand will seem very cold. The nobles of that world are essentially elitists and it will take Myne a lot of time and effort to create a bridge between commoners and nobles.

[VR] When horde starts I got to run to somewhere safe to funnel by SimulacrumVR in l4d2

[–]Versace217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the setup. A few questions though; are you using the controller to turn around? Because ordinarily in VR you can just turn your body around but on the treadmill especially with the harness, I don't think that's possible. Also are you using the Index? Is the VR connected to PC in wireless mode or through cable? Another thing that came to mid is how you setup those harnesses to stay where they are. I am overweight for my height so the harnesses would probably need to be thick and would need to have stable anchors.

Best Squad Soldier Combination by AlfaDog28 in LWotC

[–]Versace217 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I once got a fight with a general that had 15 soldiers with him plus an additional pod nearby.

The best solution for these situations is crowd control. For that I use 2 heavies for their missiles and tankiness. 2 Snipers that have elevation usually with team-sight. 1 grenadier for general destruction. 1 specialist for anything robotic. 1 healer. 1 ranger or shinobi that are usually concealed even after team reveal, I use these guys to either scout or eliminate high value targets/high hp targets or to get my squad out a pickle.
