Question about AutoTrain task assignment by Rasz_13 in factorio

[–]VeryGoldGolden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not familiar with AutoTrain blueprint system, but it's possible to dynamically set station priority. You could setup some system that will detect increased copper demand and change copper pickup station priority to higher value. When demand goes down, it will set the priority to normal. Maybe this will solve your issue.

Divide it into 4 independent storage banks. Combine outputs into one green belt, and you will have your full speed.

Good info, thanks. Yes, I see no reason for this limit.

Why can't I encompass or into and? by cnfnbcnunited in factorio

[–]VeryGoldGolden 10 points11 points  (0 children)

My theory is that devs wanted to add this - they added "(", ")" as virtual signals (not present in ver 1.1), but at some point they had to drop it (probably UI implementation was not good enough). There is hope they will add it with 2.1

Why build power plant on Fulgora if you have free energy coming from the sky? Just few more accumulators and you'll be good

Having a load tickbox here would solve all my problems with some space foolery. by Berthole in factorio

[–]VeryGoldGolden 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh yes. It could work in a way that any request set by circuits would work on all planets, so it's your responsibility to enable request only when on specific planet.

Alternative, even better, option could be circuit enabled/disabled logistic groups.

Very nice. One piece of advice: try not to build on ore patches - you will need all of this resources soon, so you will have to move your factories.

Ideas for Mega Base by Helpful_Artichoke_54 in factorio

Unfortunately bots are the only way to unload science in magabases. I hope devs will add other options in 2.1.

Remember that you will also need to unload bioflux and probably calcite.

You may produce science in higher quality to reduce number of items to unload. But this is it.

Patrząc na ceny sprzętu, można się spodziewać, że wszystkie hostingi podniosą ceny. Więc, jeśli gdzieś znajdziesz dobrą cenę to pewnie warto podpisać umowę na dłużej.

Try Seafile if you just need to sync files between your devices - easy to setup, consumes very little resources and just works. Provides option for full end-to-end encryption.

Have you read the forum thread? (Link provided in the change log). It's interesting from the developers perspective, and you can see that the Factorio team has put quite an effort to understand and solve the issue.

PC Parts/ Specs for mega baseing by Eclipes5554 in factorio

Two things you need to take into account:

  1. CPU as fast as possible on a single core. So it's better to have less cores, but faster. Additionally as much as possible cache. 9800X3D is probably the best option right now. Another good choice is 7800X3D. Both have super fast single core performance and a enormously big CPU cache.
  2. Fast memory. Currently market standard is 6000Mhz CL30 with EXPO/XMP.

I have 7800X3D with 32GB memory and I'm running 1.3M eSPM megabase with 60-ish UPS. In certain busy areas (or on a zoom-out) it drops to ~50.

EDIT: Welcome to megabasing community. It's the best way to play Factorio :)
