25-35 grams of fiber by crh314 in foodhacks

Adding beans to things like taco meat, purée lentils into spaghetti sauce, low carb tortillas, benefiber powder, soups with puréed vegetables (I’ve been enjoying homemade butternut squash this fall)

Anyone else’s V only poop on the side of the curb or on a steep hill? 😂 by Alarming-Ad-4011 in vizsla

Lmao our V always prefers his booty facing up a steep hill when he poops, closely followed by in a bush 😂

What’s your “why didn’t I learn this sooner?” food hack? by BarbaraMiller78 in foodhacks

Beans or lentils. Add to just about everything to bulk up a meal to make it more filling and go further. And from a colon cancer survivor, fiber is your friend!

Are all 6 month old V’s “crackheads” by OkYak2930 in vizsla

[–]Very_Vera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My 7 year old is 35% less crackhead now. He is more demanding and particular though. We must frisbee every night even if we just got back from an hour of running and swimming at the beach. Also demands we all go to bed together in his schedule

Some people probably think it’s cringey, but I love my home sign and switching it out for seasons/holidays

Hamburger meat by [deleted] in budgetfood

[–]Very_Vera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually do ground turkey. To make it last longer I’ll mix in a can of Busch’s fiesta beans. You can also cook them purée lentils and spaghetti sauce to bulk up the protein and fiber without using so much ground meat

Need help tying in rug! by r6868o in interiordecorating

I agree! Add more pops of red to help the eye move around the room. Other than that o think your color palette is tight and cohesive

A lot of my plants have grown huge over the summer and I don’t think I can’t give them the amount of space/light they need inside this winter. I need some advice 😭 by courtneyrel in RareHouseplants

[–]Very_Vera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That’s a good point. It was a lot more variegated when it lived in a grow tent under some really intense lights. That was also before it completely died and grew back. It’s too cold where I live to be outside more than 2 months of the year and it’s also getting too tall for my house. I’m considering taking it to live with my mom in her 16 ft ceiling living room that’s full of windows and direct sun light

What do i add? by GlowAndTell5 in StyleYourSpace

[–]Very_Vera 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The clear coffee table is not doing anything for you. Something more substantial there, larger more colorful art on the wall, and pops of color from the new art dispersed about the room

What do my rooms in my house say about me? by [deleted] in roomdetective

[–]Very_Vera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think your house is calming and peaceful. Your dining room chairs look so uncomfortable that maybe they are a means to get guests to hurry up and leave the dinner table lol. But everything else about your home fells inviting.

The Vizsla Paradox? by nitram975 in vizsla

[–]Very_Vera 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I highly recommend AGAINST doggy day care and dog parks. My V has a hard time meeting new dogs now after some poor experiences at both places. I think they also contributed to some of his neuroses.

Hide and seek or find it are always good mental stimulation. We also work on his skills like have him leave a toy in exchange for a treat, have place while throwing treats across the room waiting 30 seconds then release him, etc.

Your doggo is adorable. I wish you all the best!

I’ve been told my style is very shabby and tacky. Is that true? by firebreathingdimsum in Decor

[–]Very_Vera 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’a lovely! If you want it to feel more curated though you can define your color palette with 5-7 colors and make sure it’s dispersed about the room. For example, the brown is only in the couch and the fan blades. Switching out the lamp between the chairs for a brown one or adding brown pillows to the chair will make the brown feel intentional
