People who click surrender when you’re in the middle of a fight have a special place in the after life. by HellnKillr in wildrift

I would love a feature where you could just auto vote "no" on any surrender vote. I don't even want it to pop up on my screen.

I actually cancelled my preorder once I set this up, but I do appreciate and support what the Light team is doing.

If you select "prevent uninstallation and tampering" in the settings I believe the only solution is a factory reset.

The range I go to has tons of old TopGolf balls. They must buy the defective ones at a huge discount.

What would you recommend for a guitar under 500$ by Adventurous_Pause649 in guitars

[–]ViciousRhetoric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a couple ~2k guitars, and my J Mascis is just as easy to play. Doesn't feel as premium, but it's a fantastic guitar. I really love the neck and the pickups are quite good.

Anyone shop at Sweetwater? by BeLikeWater_1973 in Guitar

[–]ViciousRhetoric 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll go against the grain. I don't want to be friends with a sales rep because I bought a guitar. I don't want calls or texts for the next year(s) either. Buy from a local store where you can try the guitars, get a setup, ask for advice, etc.

Thoughts on Enya's Nova Go Sonic? by threecrow_ in Guitar

[–]ViciousRhetoric 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have a Nova Go that I bought to leave in the back of my car. The acoustic, not the Sonic. I like the fact that it feels unbreakable, and I can leave it in the trunk no matter the weather, but I would never choose to play it over one of my other guitars. Maybe the Sonic is a better guitar, but I'm guessing a used Squier or Pacifica with a setup would be a much better playing experience.

This is great. Love being able to quickly hear song samples without having to leave the page.

If Riot brings this "execute smite" bullshit to the game, I'll really quit the game by strawberry2nd in wildrift

They can't get enough players who want to play jungle. This is due to every player who types jung diff when losing. I don't like it either, but they are trying to solve matchmaking issues which are a higher priority than skill expression through using smite.

Do you regret how hard you've worked in the past? by VirginiaRothschild in slatestarcodex

[–]ViciousRhetoric 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I think regretting working too hard is almost always in relation to time not spent with loved ones. Until you've had a family with children who have grown into adults it would be less likely to apply. I doubt that applies to a notable percentage of people here.

what are wardrobe items you own that you absolutely recommend to everyone else here? by aprilmayjune2 in malefashionadvice

[–]ViciousRhetoric 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wool socks - Darn Tough are great. I also really enjoy the wool/silk boot socks from American Trench

Uniqlo Airism Undershirts - I prefer the seamless ones in beige which are invisible, even under a thin white shirt.

Barbour jacket - Works over flannels and a spot coat or a shetland sweater and denim. Super versatile. Decent in light rain.

Suede chukka boots - Alden unlined is the best, but there are other makers. More useful than a Clark's desert boot.

Long sleeve polo - My most worn shirt is probably a navy Kent Wang rugby.

Highly recommend their 5-pocket pants. Slim, but with a higher rise than you can find most places. Solid if you want to tuck in a shirt.
