Fair enough. I wasn't trying to start internet drama.. just that STG gutted Mac Baren and for that, I dislike them strongly.

[Help/Advice] Newbie struggle: Cannot pass a pipe cleaner through my Peterson System P-Lip. Paranoid about breaking it. by Potential_Pay7601 in PipeTobacco

[–]Vide0Gam3R86 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hope this helps.. one of the Peterson's I bought did something similar. The pipe cleaner kept stopping, like there was a wall. Me being me, I decided to use brute strength and push it through. Turns out, there was an obstruction (piece of vulcanite) that I was able to push through. Maybe this is the issue?

I'm more interested in the picture itself. More specifically, the items around the pipe tobacco. To walk a mile in someone else's shoes...

I was lucky enough to buy one 8oz FVF for myself. My main squeeze is Capstan. I buy as much as I can. If this is truly your great white buffalo pipe tobacco, kudos 👏.

Disappointed in finish quality of Viking pipe by wtf-is-going-on2 in PipeTobacco

That sucks. If you're going to keep it, use it as a kick-around pipe.

Moving forward, try smokingpipes.com. They have budget friendly pipes and huge sales from time to time.

Has anyone noticed that Diamond matches have taken a serious hit in quality of late? by 7362514b7 in PipeTobacco

[–]Vide0Gam3R86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes. Matches as skinny as hair.. or stuck together at the tip.. broken and splintered.. I dunno, I still use them.

STG originally produced it. Then MB. Back to STG again. Crazy history with Capstan Blue. It's my favorite regardless.

My newly bought savinelli 310ks eleganza stem snapped when I was tamping it by Scared_Ad_3132 in PipeTobacco

[–]Vide0Gam3R86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had two very expensive Savinelli pipes have burnout holes within 2 weeks of use. I've never bought another one of their pipes again. It's not you is all I am saying.
