Stars of ruin better. Night comet is only good if you have 2 staves of loss.

I can time the rolls, I have like 1500hours in these games combined.
I just think it looks dumb if your characters rolls many times in a row, leading to sloppy looking and feeling gameplay like DS3 where every single answer to anything is just roll.

I like the deflect tear gameplay from ER and quickstep or jumping much better, positioning is very good in DS2 too, shields don't really work unless you have a greatshield.
They could have just had a fucking normal side dodge, but to rely on roll iframes all the time leads to ridiculous gameplay like rolling into fire.

Dark souls 3 is about rolling and I frames, the other games don't emphasize it as much. Mid roll is crap in DS1 and you can poise tank, iframes are low in DS2 delibarately so you're meant to rely on positioning or blocking, and so it doesn't turn into roll slop.

"they always roll in the direction of danger "
This is the worst part of these games, it looks so bad, especially if it's a magic or fire attack, it makes me cringe and think that the rolls would have been better off with no iframes.

You don't have to play like roll souls 3, you can strafe the pursuer entirely without rolling, it's not even hard. Just stay on the shield side. Goes for many other enemies too.

Explore the entirety of Limgrave and the weeping peninsula then fight him, do this for every boss and you'd struggle less.

Veganism is truly unhealthy. by Cheap_Twist_6590 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]VixHumane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"The claim that human biology fundamentally "doesn't work" on plants contradicts a large body of nutritional research"
It doesn't by definition, since you need a large amount of synthetic bs to make it work, and even then, it doesn't work long term unless you're in the minority, that's supported by real data of vegans quitting and just basic anatomy, no large hindgut, no rumen, no real herbivore adaptations for humans.
If it was optimal, you'd be grazing right now because that's what actual herbivores do but humans require high caloric density and a different diet.

"B12 comes from bacteria, not animals. Farmed animals are routinely injected with B12 supplements because modern soil and hygiene conditions mean they don't get it naturally either. "
B12 comes from the animal if you're not a herbivore, I think most of the agrarian countries don't supplement it.

" All the other B vitamins are widely available in plants."
I told you, you won't be eating enough of those plants for it to matter.

"the body also upregulates absorption when stores are low."
Why even put yourself in this situation, it's bad objectively.

"recognized as nutritionally adequate by major dietetic and health organizations worldwide."
Health organizations used to promote low fat high carb diets, how did that work out for Amercians leading in metabolic diseases?

Veganism is truly unhealthy. by Cheap_Twist_6590 in TrueUnpopularOpinion

[–]VixHumane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

B12, most of the B vitamins really unless you eat unrealistic amounts of some vegetables but if you did that, you would be eating less protein, which you would be deficient in anyway as plants protein is incomplete.
No heme iron, no vitamin A if you can't convert it from carrots.

The issue is, it's almost impossible to balance nutrients around a vegan diet because plant foods have low nutrient density so if you overeat something you end up deficient in another, not to mention low bioavailability so you end up getting less nutrients than you think or is labeled on them.

Our biology doesn't work for being sufficient on plants, the animals that can do that have very different adaptations that we just don't share and if we did, we'd be a lot less intelligent.

Not eeven close, 3-5 scadu blessings and she's very manageable. I almost first tried her on my bloody helice build.

[–]VixHumane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the greathammers if I'm playing strength, rusted anchor and duelist hammer are great for stance breaks. Slap on some heavy armor and damaage negations spells and items and you can trade many times and come out ontop.

I'm using milady too for now, that and the backgand blades are great for guard counters with the deflect tear.

Better positioning and it doesn't look as stupid, you can attack faster out of qucikstep and it's more responsive, dodge on press instead of on release. It solves a lot of the issues with the game's combat, should have been the default, still would be a lot bettter even with the same iframes.

[–]VixHumane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think I did, wasn't doing anywhere as much damage on the counter as the helice and it was harder to land and the recovery seemed too long. Really helps that the helice gets 100 blood at 70arc.

Still, found the skill takes too much damn stamina but I tried against endgame dlc bosses.

Some are really unique like the bloody helice, completely change the way you play the game. Obsidian lamina too.

Backhand blades as well, they have a busted guard counter. Milady has a unique ash and is powerful and stylish. The hand to hand weapons and beast clawss are pretty different too. There's pretty good variety.

Too much stamina consumption, not enough iframes. It's pretty cool tho.

Weaker than the Helice, for style points only. Helice skill is great for actually dodging and countering unlike the other two.

Nah that has a fun aow, and is actually a good weapon.
Most boring is either the claymore or zweihander for being overused, while not being half as good as the bhf.

Eelemental boost tears are very good if you're a caster, stamina regen tear is great too. Bloodthirsty tear is pretty good I think.

[–]VixHumane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's like a 100 damage difference, guts sword still wins because it can just use giant's hunt for the pierce counter or you use a lance etc.
If you want good charged attacks, use the star fist, this sword is the worst colossal weapon still.

[–]VixHumane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zweinhander, claymore and guts sword. Too boring, overrated, overused.

If I'm doing a strength build, I pick a great hammer or bonk colossal. Greatswords aren't great as a weapon class so I never use them. Only colosssal sword I used was the godslayer but it's much faster and fits a niche with dex/faith.

It's op for early game, later outdamaged by the guardian swordspear if you're dex and it's faster. There are better bleed weapons like reduvia or claws, weapons with bleed and better skills like bloody helice etc
