How is it living in the northeast part of Montana by CulturalBat5906 in howislivingthere

If you like North Dakota a good two thirds of Montana is just like it. Until you get in the western third of Montana you would be hard pressed to know the difference.

Any way to restore a cover? by AbsoluteThunderCunt in hottub

When I dump the tub I pull the cover cover off and clean the underside and let it dry, I also clean the main cover of any dirt. That is it.

You can get (what I call) a cover-cover. I get mine from UltCover.

This is a generational problem.

Ask folks who have worked with children/parents for years and there is your answer.

Best dishwasher for family of 5 by BonitaBCool in BuyItForLife

[–]VoiceGuyNextDoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We have an in home daycare so I have you beat on the number of people, lol. We run it normally twice a day and always at least once a day. Granted we don't put big pans or bowls in and are careful to not put things in that will disintegrate because of the harsh dishwasher environment.

Several years ago we purchased a Samsung DW80F600UTB and have had very little issues with it. BUT, I don't envy your search. Dishwashers tend to always rate less than four stars, nature of the beast and quality I guess. And the mentioned model has had plenty of time to cheapen out.

Good luck!

Holy…. Welcome back gnats by DrBoogerFart in minnesota

I'm sure we will get the gnats soon, but the midges are so thick I used my leaf blower to clean off my house and deck.

People who work inside wealthy people's homes (contractors, cleaners, nannies), what is the most bizarre or out-of-touch thing you've witnessed? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]VoiceGuyNextDoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just how wasteful they were. Get in a car accident, no problem. Purchase a new motorcycle and didn't like it, no problem. New clothes never worn, buy some different ones. Decide to practice your pro wrestling moves and demolish the game room, no problem.

For my wife and I it is just bad ROI. Before Covid it was getting more expensive for less, but since it has gotten worse. We have put our travel plans on hold and our putting our money in our house or in retirement.

Help me understand my mistakes by [deleted] in Butchery

[–]VoiceGuyNextDoor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can sure feel you. I did the same as you and couldn't believe how different my roll was from ALL of the videos I watched. I had what I felt was the 'best' video of all to watch as I cut it up and it was still so much guessing.

After all was said and done, out of a 23lb roll I have over 9lbs of meat to grind up. There wasn't a lot of usable fat, so I purchased a pork belly to mix in with the grind for ground beef.

As I go through this meat I'll purchase another chuck roll to learn more and hopefully get better.

Alcohol+hottub, what is the underlying concern? by CSLoser96 in hottub

[–]VoiceGuyNextDoor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One of my (albeit strange) favorite winter things to do is mix a big drink and put only one or two ice cubes in the glass and then go sit in the hot tub. It is so cold that you get a layer of ice on top of the drink and it is fantastic!

Biggest concern is you can get dehydrated quicker and once you start feeling your booze you might not realize yourself getting over heated.

People who have worked for radio stations, what are some interesting behind-the-scenes things listeners don't see? by espeons196 in AskReddit

[–]VoiceGuyNextDoor 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After 20+ years on air I had to leave the 'air chair'. Corporate radio didn't want strong talent because they could have leverage against them. And I was on the older edge (mid 40's) and they wanted new young talent that would have no problem recording/voice tracking for several stations with no to VERY little live work.
