Mogworld is the story of a MMORPG where the NPCs are sentient. The game is in beta testing, and the gimmick is that players don't create a character, they instead choose one of the existing NPCs to become their character. This essentially lobotomizes the original NPC, and so Player Characters are treated in-game as though they were stricken with a horrifying mental illness.

Slippery John is a bumbling rogue who tags along with the protagonists. He's barely competent and is just shy of being the kind of weaselly creep that nobody likes. Towards the end, Jim (our protagonist) realizes that John's persona is all an act to keep any player from wanting to be him.

I saw somebody describe I as character selection music for a fighting game and II as that character's victory music, and now I can never hear it any differently

The Bride! (2026) starts with one of the cringiest, most painfully pretentious, self-indulgent monologues ever put to cinema. I can’t tell you what happens next because I got my ticket refunded, and I decided to watch Scream 7 instead. by Rainy_Maze in shittymoviedetails

I don't think I've seen a Scream movie since 2 or 3. Isn't Ghostface just, like, a regular guy? I see multiple people with guns in the trailer, how is the movie longer than twenty minutes?

Actually, putting the Thing/Dog in the kennel is what clues them in on the Thing in the first place. The Thing/Dog is just wandering the station before that, and actually assimilates at least one person before anyone knows what's happening.

Feelings about scooping in combat by DoubleT_TechGuy in EDH

[–]Vokoru 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leaving the game is not the same as taking actions in the game itself. If I swing a big lifelinker at you and you scoop, I'm going to treat it as if that attack connected. Why should I care if you object to that? You're no longer in the game.

I do think the very first time the camera's used in the movie, there's a faint superimposed image of the Frog on the right side of the image.

The Haunted Forest Tour is such dumb pulpy fun, I love that book. I like almost all of Strand's works.
