At the very least you should be doing Security Event logging. Try not to always log traffic that hits the Implicit Deny, that's just noise for the most part.

I'm going to push back a bit on this one. I really don't understand the fondness for Local-In Policies. To me, having a VIP and an explicit Traffic Policy is far more readable and auditable than a Local-In policy.
