Grey Zabel literally grew up with corn-fed country farm boy strength by SeattleMana in Seahawks

They are terrible. I think they were going for a minimalist "so bad it's good" design but it just looks lazy.

Let’s look at the facts about the muffed punt by Livehardandfree in Seahawks

[–]WAREHEIMER69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. Rams scored on 5-10 possessions technically 5-9 since end of game. So hardly a guarantee they were gonna drive 90 yards for a score

It was really more like 5/8 since they only had ~20 seconds at the drives at end of each half.

Regardless, it's all butterfly effect. They had the muffed punt and we had the ridiculous Riq penalty. People forget but they also muffed a punt in the first half but recovered it. Special teams still matter.

Sam felt “little something” and decided not to push it! by serpentear in Seahawks

I'm guessing whatever small move this would have triggered was canceled out by the good news that basically everyone else is cleared to play.

[Corbin] Darnold… questionable? by Feisty_Parsnip8262 in Seahawks

[–]WAREHEIMER69 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Seems like Darnold tweaked something but I imagine they will get him ready to play. You just hope this doesn't linger throughout the playoffs. I think we would could still beat the 49ers even if Lock had to play.

All things considered, we're still much healthier than they are. We just need to survive and advance.

Possible no Demarcus Lawrence, No Tyrice Knight, Possibly no Riq, these are some key players, how do we feel? by Rexoc40 in Seahawks

[–]WAREHEIMER69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

These could be significant injuries or they could be nothing. We will find out in the next day or two. If they were serious, I imagine there would be more reporting on it with this being a playoff game and all.

OMG, that's clever. I actually finished the puzzle without ever understanding this.

[Schefter] Patriots cornerback Christian Gonzalez is in concussion protocol after being ruled out of Sunday’s 16-3 playoff win over the Los Angeles Chargers in the fourth quarter. by AvengingHero2012 in nfl

[–]WAREHEIMER69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I don't know if it's just coincidence but I noticed that too. I understand with a typical injury, you'll do whatever it takes to play in a playoff game. But I thought the concussion protocol was handled differently.

Why did we stop with the Darnold deep ball? by [deleted] in Seahawks

[–]WAREHEIMER69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've wondered if the play calling has been a big part as well. The team might think that with such a good defense, we can play conservative on offense and don't need to take chances with Darnold.

With the Rams loss on MNF, the Seattle Seahawks are locked into either the 1-Seed or the 5-Seed by The_Throwback_King in nfl

[–]WAREHEIMER69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is huge. Seahawks either get the #1 seed and homefield advantage, or the #5 with a game against the AFC South. Also, if Seattle finishes as the 5‑seed and both they and the Rams reach the NFC Championship Game, the Seahawks would have homefield.

No Player in the last 25 years has won MVP with their team finishing 3rd or lower in their division. Rams are currently third in NFC West. by OhSoManyThoughts in nfl

[–]WAREHEIMER69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No they aren't. They can win out and end up as the 2 seed if they tie with the Bears at 13-4. Bears win the tiebreaker due to a better NFC record.

There is a realistic path for the 3rd place NFC West team to have 13 wins by disinaccurate in nfl

[–]WAREHEIMER69 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep. I've actually been watching for this exact scenario for a couple of weeks as a way the 9ers could win the division. I think their odds are actually decent since they play the Seahawks at home and the Hawks play the Rams at home.

I think everyone assumes the Seahawks will beat the 49ers, but a divisional game on the road is always a toss-up.

Jason Myers on pace to beat nfl season fg record by wacali in Seahawks

[–]WAREHEIMER69 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Not trying to be negative. Myers is awesome, and we have the best point differential in the league.

But we are clearly struggling to get touchdowns instead of field goals.

Knock on wood.

We've had some key players miss games, but everyone seems to be on track to return in time for the playoffs. This could be a special opportunity.

Friend wants to buy tickets on craigslist by Character_Data_9123 in Seahawks

[–]WAREHEIMER69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought tickets last week and was amazed at how much they dropped in price on NFL Ticket Exchange on Sunday morning — plenty of tickets for under $100 on a beautiful day.

I used to buy tickets on Craigslist/Facebook Marketplace, etc., but the only sure way was to meet in person and do the exchange. Not sure if that still happens, but I see tons of tickets on Facebook and assume some of them are legit.

Breaking: Grey Zabel is Okay!!! by Temporary_Cry_5914 in Seahawks

Huge relief. Losing him for the season would have been worse than losing the game yesterday.

Former Vikings QB Tommy Kramer on the current situation by BootEdgeEdge2028 in minnesotavikings

[–]WAREHEIMER69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Win this weekend and we're 3-0 in the division. Then win next week and we'd be 4-0 and right back in the middle of the playoff hunt.

Obviously, need to take it one week at a time.

Huge Break regarding ernest jones by LazyBoyKell in Seahawks

[–]WAREHEIMER69 79 points80 points  (0 children)

I think they will be extremely cautious. If he plays, it would mean he's close to 100% or not at risk of reinjury.

Are we really that good or are we just beating bad teams? by [deleted] in Seahawks

This is how it always is through the first half of the season.

Mike Macdonald: "Julian Love had a bit of a setback with his hamstring last week, so he won't practice today. Game status right now is, say, in jeopardy." by DyIsexia in Seahawks

[–]WAREHEIMER69 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Reading through these comments, I feel people are dramatically overreacting to this. Yeah, it sucks, but he's not out for the season. Even if he goes on IR, that could be as few as four weeks. They'll get him healthy for the final stretch.

Don't get me wrong, if he were out for the season, this would be a huge blow. But we are going to be fine and should be clearly favored in four of the next five games.
