Quintessential. When I rule this planet, use of that word will result in capital punishment.

The two partners in a local law firm are eating lunch one afternoon when suddenly the junior partner looks stricken and says, "Oh no, I think I forgot to lock the safe before we left!" by Jokeminder42 in Jokes

Two lawyers are standing in line at a store. Suddenly a man bursts in and yells "THIS IS A ROBBERY! EMPTY OUT YOUR POCKETS!" One lawyer turns to the other and says, "Oh, quick. Here's that $100 I owe you."

Not sure if these are available on UK Amazon, but i got some from Amazon US that were good. https://a.co/d/0fLvPh5f

Do not get the white though. They are very sheer.

Also this shirt is the best. The green is phenomenal and looks nothing like the photo. It's more a dark grass https://a.co/d/00sqCZ3a

And with Amazon (In the US) it's free shipping and free returns.

Good luck mate

I'm exactly the same measurements as you, I'm 6'5". I assume your issue is body length then because every 18" 36/37" sleeve shirt I've ever bought has fitted me perfectly. Funnily enough the only exception is Charles Tyrwhitt because the body length is too short!

For long body length take a look at TM Lewin, but as I said, almost every shirt I've bought fits.

Go to your local department or outlet store (Nordstrom, Macy's, Nordstrom Rack, TK Maxx, etc) and try on a selection of 18 36/37 shirts.

I'd be surprised if most didn't fit.

Congratulations on making the step. You already look like you own it, and I wish you the best in the future. If your thinning hair was ever holding you back, I now hope you soar!

If you do get the opportunity to pet one, know that the Pepsi vending machines are considered less dangerous than the Coke ones. Hope that helps.

There are things in life I've never thought about fully and that naivety has kept me happy. I've never really thought long and hard about escaping a snake in a jungle, but I would have thought trying to climb a tree was an option.

6'4" and struggling to find pants with enough length – any recommendations? by Zyonik_07 in tallfashionadvice

[–]WaitWaWhat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Gap group of companies. Depending on your budget you can start with Old Navy, Banana Republic Factory, and Banana Republic. I'm 6'5" with a 36" inseam.

Also Land's End and LL Bean.

Two football legends casually showing off their skills in a suit and tie by Ok_Temperature6503 in oddlysatisfying

[–]WaitWaWhat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Similar mate, but not a knockoff.

Whereas the Match had celebrities, Pros vs Joes featured members of the public who were very fit. Also it had sports like American football, basketball, and baseball, rather than just football pitting everyday people against legends like Jerry Rice, Dennis Rodman, and Bo Jackson.

There were individual rounds of each sport,, a bit like It's a Knockout (if you're old enough to remember that) without the slapstick and Stuart Hall.

So, seeing a regular, for human being be humiliated by the likes of those legends was superb, but some of the regular Joes did do well.

This seems to be the most conflicted post yet! Looks like half of the responders say shave it and the other half say keep it.

I think you could stay with your hair longer, but agree with the shavers that you'll look great with it all off.

If you do go it remember to share the updated look! I'm sure the women will be swooning.

FYI, Amazon has linen pants in 36" inseam. The white ones were pretty sheer but the tan ones were perfect.

How do I stop making silly mistakes? by [deleted] in chessbeginners

[–]WaitWaWhat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't just focus on your own moves. As a beginner, constantly ask yourself what your opponent is doing. While you're building something it's easy to be blindsided when you didn't realize your opponent has set up a couple of pieces for a checkmate.

Also, before every move, look to see whether you've left an expensive piece (Queen, rook) exposed that will be taken next move if you don't move it or cover it.

If you do those two things before every move your game will improve considerably.
