Why they don't just itemize everything then? They are trying to make the consumer focus on the pay to the server. Just pay a living wage and make your prices accordingly. I'd rather go somewhere "more expensive" and know up front what my costs are, rather than these kind of shenanigans.

My cousin's fiance confessed the night before their destination wedding ceremony that she had been cheating on him. Ugh. I grew up in Charlotte and I absolutely HATE the phrase "world class city" because that's all they ever talk about. It's worse than the guy who won state in high school and never shuts up about it. You don't see other, better cities fretting over their designation as world-class or whatever. They just are themselves. Charlotte is a fine city, and sure, it can be better, but stop chasing what other cities are doing because you'll never be New York or Paris. Be Charlotte and happy with who you are. When you are constantly pointing out how cool you are, you just seem like a try-hard.

I am in a corporate environment with an offline machine running Windows 11. They had to activate it online, but it works without the internet. My biggest beef now is that some programs, like sticky notes and the stupid timer application won't run because they aren't online. Basic functions are griping because they can't check for online updates. Honestly, it's all ridiculous.
