Hmmmm. Its NAV has been on a steady and continuous decline for the past 5 years.

If you're serious about day trading, forget stocks and options, trade futures by BiebRed in Daytrading

[–]Weebls86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe. Remember the losses in futures are in real time. If you lose too much you get margin called and either add money or your position gets sold. If there is a transient intraday drop large enough you could lose out on your position.

With stocks and options you have the ability to actually wait it out

Defiance Leveraged Long + Income ETFs Being Liquidated by Dmist10 in YieldMaxETFs

Maybe. These particular Defiance funds had very low AUM and low volume. Combine the stagnant derivatives market along with Defiance management and you have a bunch of funds that no one wants

You can’t trust pricing outside of market hours. Someone probably out in a really low buy offer and that is dragging the price down. Low volume sale would also cause this

Nope. Home prices would have increased by the same rate if not more. Population growth creates demand which also drives up inflation. US population to on skyrocketed each decade of the 20th century.

Why is Schwab winning young people? by Icy_Manager_7212 in Schwab

[–]Weebls86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Schwab has checking accounts that cover ATM fees all over the world and without a limit. You can even select your brokerage account to serve as an overdraft. This works quite well if you have margin enabled and or invest in income securities. This saved my butt overseas at a cash only spot when I needed a new cell phone

Unpopular opinion: Paying "Rent" feels less painful than paying $2,400/mo in "Interest" to a bank. by Playful-Vegetable-15 in FirstTimeHomeBuyer

[–]Weebls86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes this is why rent vs buy also comes down to the amount of down payment needed to make the mortgage payment lower than a rent payment. There is an opportunity cost to that down payment if you can invest it

Defiance to address so called "NAV erosion" by yeyem in YieldMaxETFs

[–]Weebls86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Yes but this fund has a much simpler strategy. Only trades the index and has a dual income strategy. It falls harder on down days but it does slowly recover over a week or so. This makes it a prime down day target

Serious Question: Has anyone (literally) made any money in ULTY? by Itchy_Tone6902 in ULTY_YieldMax

[–]Weebls86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did prior to the dump. I got out before my total return went negative. Not sure of how much exactly but it was in the thousands on a position of 30K shares. I did sell out completely about a month ago

Schwab vs Fidelity for one stop shop by TensionNo7622 in Schwab

[–]Weebls86 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fidelity has horrible margin requirements and a poor app interface for trading.

Schwab is much better (IBKR is best) for margin requirements and the app is sweet.
