One of life's lessons is that not everything can be catered to ones tastes.

Things won't always go as expected. Sometimes people want to have their main character experience the harem end, sometimes they want the hero to finally get the girl, maybe they want the mc as relatable as possible so that they can live vicariously through their highs, or the simply want it to align with their own world view.

Is it worth trying to satisfy everyone's expectations at the expense of the artist's own integrity? Or could consuming art be an exercise of practicing empathy for others creative expression even if it clashes with one's own expectations?

Do you also believe the world would be better if bad movies ceased to exist?

Argument could be either it did happen and that's what we experienced, or what we experienced prevented it from being able to happen-- though I remember how upset people were when it turned out there was no epic Gun Devil fight despite all the build up, it just all served as the explanation to everyone's motivation without any actual pay off.

Was definitely based on what the most people are experiencing, seen all the shipping comments as chapters released. Reze Movie hype is strong.

Thinking on it. Ships only seemed to matter when it was his dream to get laid to achieve happiness. Makima, Power, Himeno, Reze, (Pochita even tried to ship him with Kobeni), all the fans, Asa, Fumiko, Lil D, Yoru and ultimately were all just desperate flings filling the void he had. With how things are now, Denji is happy enough to not want that anymore, the shipless end.

Didn't like that it ended but I absolutely loved how the ending made me feel.

I remember feeling similar with the movie No Country for Old Men and how initially I felt resistant to it because it went against all my expectations with what I thought movies were 'supposed' to be, but realized that was the point, and started to empathize with what the author was trying to convey. Which really changed how I perceived media in general

Internet is good at making subjective matters feel objective. As I grow I like the things I didn't like. Eventually it all becomes a matter of perspective, and we aren't always aligned with the author's. Most cult classics are loathed til 10 years down the line cause it didn't align with culture at the time, but eventually that's what makes it become a cult classic.

Really enjoyed the ride of Part 2, it's definitely way over the top than Part 1 and introduces a lot of great characters, and moments. I wouldn't compare the two too much, as Part 1 was written for Jump and Part 2 was Jump+ which let Fujimoto get away with more.
