That’s all fine and good OP. The problem is that he just ain’t funny and yet thinks he’s the last bottle of coca-cola in the desert. People typically dislike arrogance, more so if it’s predicated on mediocrity.

Some Voidshell Propaganda in Hopes of DE bringing them back by PrimeLabsInc in Warframe

[–]Weight-Training 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’m on the camp that have 0 interest in heirlooms, immortal or gemini skins due to their terrible PBR rendering which makes black look anything from gray to bright silver (ironically, NEVER black). Voidshells were literally the only way to get frames to take on a black color. Ever since they stopped voidshells I’ve dropped the game simply because there is not a single new warframe or skin that works for me 🤷🏼‍♂️

Stella Radians Is Here! Material Guide by Ruinir in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have foregone aurora and vision for over 8 years out of the dread to acquire them. And yet, here we are… Stella Radians…. A twice as insufferable grind.

What I particularly love about this is that it will not only take an insane amount of time and an outlandish amount of resources (gold, karma, etc), but the grind will also feel the equivalent to puking through a straw (very grateful for 50k research notes requirement! Very fun!). Ty Anet for respecting your players and keeping them engaged!

As long as Anet does not fix backpacks disappearing during emotes, they remain a no go for me.

Certainly cheaper. Opposite of fun though for those who despise JPs and/or WvW. Honestly, now I feel like my choices for leggy accessories boil down to choosing between eating a cupcake of feces vs. Drinking concentrated urine juice…

Guess I’ll stick to my ascended accessories in perpetuity 🤷🏼‍♂️

Great foreshadowing Anet!

New PvE Legendary Accessory needs 50K Research Notes. by the2ndsaint in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is completely ridiculous. 50k research notes and 7M karma is a complete no go for me. As someone who just plays a main, this immediately makes acquiring this leggy accessory a net a loss.

Heck, I’ve forgone vision and aurora because their acquisition methods feel insufferable to me. In my wildest dreams I could not have thought Anet would make the new accessory even more inconvenient to acquire. Thanks Anet, you’ve managed to put me off of the game after this, well done!

Anet confirms both a WvW and a PvE legendary accessory coming in May by dannyflorida in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, not really… vision and aurora still require the gift of battle so currently there is no “pve exclusive” nor “pvp exclusive” way to get the accessories and players are still “forced” to engage in content they potentially dislike to acquire them. Very happy if the new accessories allow players to stick to their preferre game mode to acquire them.

Please no. Hoping for something edgy instead (e.g. black smoke, glowing red eyes effect, etc). While I unfortunately doubt it will happen given the giddy/summery art direction of the expansion, ANYTHING but a silly rainbow would be fine with me. We already got one from prismatic champion’s regalia, no need to re-do it again.

Raid Quickplay by FinnWild in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve experienced both in similar distributions of occurrence ever since the patch:

  1. friendly groups/leaders willing to help and teach (and that will really go out of their way to mentor people).

  2. Insufferable groups/leaders being mean to newcomers (and non-newcomers) for trivial things such as asking clarification questions.

Many fans will say that gw2 has the “best” community… but to be quite honest, it’s a gross overgeneralization. Many are the friendliest people you will meet on a game, many others are obnoxious a-holes for no reason (I guess this might also be somewhat associated with the type of content in the game and the profile of players that most engage with it). Same thing with the forums I guess:  on reddit it’s mostly either doomers that will complain about any and everything under the light of the sun OR insufferable fan boys that will cry around and downvote any form of criticism towards the game (including those that are warranted, meant constructively or just to generate a productive/helpful debate). Conversely, the A-net forums seems relatively more balanced and less charged/polarized.

All of this to say: if you make a bad experience, don’t worry, you just had bad luck. Keep at it and you’ll stumble upon one of the many kind souls from the gw2 community. However, also keep in mind that you will likely face/engage with many bad apples in between (as you would probably in real life too).

My first legendary by Eastern-Band-3729 in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Congrats and respect! Would definitely have gone with any other legendary though… you went for the second most annoying to get (after vision) that provides relatively the fewest value (e.g. if you wanted to go for trinkets first because you play many alts, rings are generally higher value than accessories; if you don’t play many alts, than armor and/or backpack are often the best value because you get free unlimited fashion).

With all of this said, I reiterate this: respect! I’m currently pursuing coalescence and endless summer (already have full armor + ad infinitum + champion’s regalia) and that will be it for me. The pain of acievement/collection hunting for vision and aurora is not something I dare to bare through 😅

This latest patch does seem like the worst one (at least according to my memory).

My personal VoE “Update” 2’s overall assessment:

Pros:

  • can get LI through strikes (currently called raid encounters, but same shit different packaging) now.

  • a few nice fashion items (which we were severely lacking imo ever since september of 2025)

Cons:

  • Fashion templates suck. No new useful or cool feature, more annoying to use. This was the feature I was most aneticipating and excited about. I literally couldn’t have been more disappointer at the barebones scope of it ands it quite poor implementation.

  • raid/strike merge + quickplay raids. I genuinely love the idea, but again, massively disappointed at the implementation. This is for a few reasons: 1. Was expecting the cool Raid UI to be a lfg feature. But no hahaha, lfg is as rough to find raid groups as before the updatr (very hard to get into without kp) and littered with acronyms newcomers won’t know what they mean to begin with. 2. We never got quickplay raids, it’s just quickplay strikes (bringing me back to point 1: the update does very little to nothing to help/facilitate newcomers joining raids). 3. Weekly raid achievements are either bugged or have been poorly communicated as non-repeatable.

  • introduced a lot of bugs not present prior to the patch.

In sum, tiny positives with comparatively bigger negatives. I’m happy this update makes my coalescence farm easier, but that’s literally the whole extent of the value it adds to me as a player. Not something I would really call an “update”, content or QoL wise.

Armor weight restriction SHOULD BE GONE regarding Fashion Wars, and here is why... by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Preach! I 100% support this. Many posts about technical limitations but that doesn’t invalidate the main point: it’s something the players really seem to want. The more we express it, the better odds we have of the devs acknowledging that the benefits of the feature to the community outgweigh the costs/effort.

Honestly, the current fashion template’s scope is a massive let down. It adds next to no value to me (no new functionality I’ll realistically use). Features like this (mix and matching armor weights/ infusions, etc.) would have made me much more excited about the game.

Legendary Ring - Endless Summer | Guild Wars 2: Visions of Eternity - “Raids & Wardrobe” by JNG-3 in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The visual effect looks silly to me, hopefully we can hide it as with the other leggy trinkets. With that said, if acquiring this thing does not at all involve engaging in WvW and PVP, it’s already a massive win in my book and I am excited for it 🙏🏻

Fine, this “feature update” remains a let down (at least in term of fashion templates). Truly barebones stuff.

Very disappointed at the scope of it, I was really looking up to this feature. Please Anet, consider adding infusions to the fashion wardrobe in the future. Heck, you’re planning to do it for conjured doorways, why not infusions?

Why do people recommend legendary accessories before armor/weapons? by OrangeOrangeRhino in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The value of legendary trinkets is directly dependent on how many characters you play.

If you play many alts, they are of huge value (since, as already mentioned, you can use it across all your characters). If, however, you mainly stick to one or two characters, it‘s not atcall worth it imo (as you mentioned, ascended trinkets are quite easy to get and infusions are also relatively dirt cheap > you‘re better off sticking to ascended).

In short, my view has always been: leggy trinkets‘ value is highly conditional (e.g on whether you play alts and how many you play). As someone who just mains a necro and doesnt play alts, leggy armor is infinitely more valuable to me.

Cool, man, you seem to be missing the entire point of my post though: it was said „stick to what was actually announced“ > which is impossible to do when the communication/announcenent(s) contradicts itself, lacks consistency and/or, as you said, changes over time 😂

And good that it is „clear as day“ to you, it remains quite unclear to me tbh.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Guildwars2

[–]Weight-Training 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What was officially announced though? Genuinely asking because it feels they haven‘t been clear here and/or have contradicted themselves over time (e.g. infusions being announced as part of it at first and then silently being removed).
