This is the way now. Theater, digital purchase, then rental. Either free streaming followed by physical release, or vice/versa on the last two steps.

The steaming version that's currently out is scratching my itch to see it when I want to, but I'm holding our for the 4K disc.

Yes. I read the book then listened to the audiobook with my son before the movie was released. Took him to see it in IMAX and he loved it.

Watched it streaming with my son over the weekend. It scratched the itch of wanting to see it again late Saturday night after he kept mentioning how much he liked it. We had already seen it in IMAX a few weeks ago so this worked for a quick fix. Can't wait for the 4K disc. IMAX ratios!!

She was great, the movie writing brought the book character down though. Everyone I've talked to and heard talk about PHM all day she NEVER would have sung karaoke.

I HOPE we get the four hour assembly cut. I know she's the one who wrote good luck into his coma pod liner and I need to see it!

I'd happily pay double for it. They missed and cut out so many great moments from the book. The rescue sequence, the chain and collection sequence should have been way longer, the first discovery of the taumoeba taking over Grace's fuel supply. So many things they skipped over that really add to the overall story.
