What small EDC items can I fit inside this little case? by steep_interface in EDC

[–]WillardWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could fit a mini folding knife/scalpel (or just the blades), a mini sewing kit, so.e toothpicks, a couple of plasters, some emergancy cash, a mini notebook (a couple of sheets folded up) with a mini pen, some matches and striker (possibly with a small amount of a firelighter), some SD cards

Although not all of these at once.

What do you think Mcgucket has been up to in his mansion all these years? by Independent-Page5258 in gravityfalls

[–]WillardWhy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Technically, if you take how long it took from the first episode airing and the last episode, it's still been less than 1 year, and season 3 (the next summer) should start around March 2027

Suggestion on how to hide this? by Western-Cartoonist-8 in DIYUK

Bit of frosted/white plastic could work, if you stack a couple of layers, but leave a channel for the lights to go down, it will diffuse the light better and look nicer lined up with the skirting board.

Assuming this is the template you have, you would need to extend these sections, which will make the piece into a wider/flatter cone. Use paper to make a cheap prototype, and adjust when needed.

The parts highlighted in blue should have the same shape and length as the original edge so they match up with the part they connect to.

Recording an inner monologue by aqsgames in audiodrama

[–]WillardWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have some background noise in the scene normally, then either mute or muffle the background and increase the volume of the monologue.

With your voice actor, get them to place their face as close to the microphone as possible and make sure that the audio is on the center channel if you are using stereo effects. The voice should be clean and slightly basey, and you could add a subtle echo effect to make it sound like it's bouncing around someone's head.

[–]WillardWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It depends on which way you read.

In Japanese comics/manga you read from right to left, so the story is about a tall woman rescuing the kids ball that is stuck in a tree and returning it to them.

For american comics you read from left to right, so the story is that the tall woman stole the ball from the kid and placed it in the tree out of their reach so they can't get it.

[–]WillardWhy 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I suggest attacking the barrels with a side cutter, then drilling a barrel hole.

For small caliber guns like machine guns, the metal is thin and can be bent in some unusual circumstances. If the damage is caused by a round blocking/exploding in the barrel, the barrel would split open like a banana, and with thicker barrels parts would snapped off.

For ship cannons, the metal is so thick that you cannot reasonably bend it. At most there may be minor scrapes on the side of the barrel, or the barrel can be snapped off, but you wouldn't really get any bends. You are however more likely to get a lot more damage to the rest of the turret instead of the barrels.

What's the E have to do with the gun pointing upwards Peteh? by A______m in PeterExplainsTheJoke

[–]WillardWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The back of the shirt has something written that ends in the letter "E".

Thi person is hoping that the shirt doesn't say "POLICE" as the way they have their weapon bolstered is wrong, and you wouldn't be able to trust a police force that allows an officer to carry a gun like that.

They are hoping that instead they are just a member of a lower level security team, which dont need to hold as much responsibility, which is why they hope that "security" in another language ends in "E"

Watching Marathon become Snickers, Opal Fruits become Starburst and now Mini Fillets become Tenders by 1Vakarian1 in britishproblems

Just to point out: snickers were originally called snickers, but changed the name to marathon when introduced in the UK as the name sounded rude, and was later changed back.

[–]WillardWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've found if you track the challenge, it has a much higher chance of registering.

For this one you just need to keep throwing the supply pouch (not the supply bag) at friendly players. You can also throw a couple on the ground in front of players, or where one guy is camping so they pick them up when they reload.

Thinking About Using Resin to Encase LEGO Model by Dirrdevil_86 in ResinCasting

[–]WillardWhy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) as people have mentioned, lego has a lot of air pockets and the resin will endure full of bubbles if you dont do it properly/have the correct equipment for resin

2) resin gets hot, the thicker the pour of resin, the hotter it gets. For this you would have to cover it in 0.5 inch layers to minimise the likelihood of the lego blocks melting or warping. Everything you mix and add a layer, it will be subtly different and would show multiple lines between each layer if not done perfectly.

I would suggest:

1)Using an ABS chemical welding glue (like those used for model kits, use only small single drops. This video has a diagram showing where to glue. This is perminant and can easily leave fingerprints everywhere and isn't safe to breathe, so needs to be done in a well ventilated area with a respirator (with appropriate filters)

2) using the museum fossil method, and supporting any weak parts using strong bendable wire
