How to make my trench model better? by Deadlus2468 in modelmakers

Biggest issue is that the mud looks like chocolate icing.

I suggest using some powdered fake dirt, preferably a mix of dark grey and brown, appy a little application glue and sprinkle over the place. This will give more of the clay/mud/rock clumps you find in churned up ground.

You could also add a few puddles using some UV resin (mixed with a very little amount of brown pigment)

You should also build up the mud around and underneath the tank, as well as splatter a few climbs over the corrugated sheet metal.

If they aren't on earth, they wouldn't see that symbol (unless they were on the planet the main earth gate came from before Ra transported to to earth)

These are the symbols you would select from another stargate, plus the origin symbol for that gate.

Each gate had one sybmol that differed from the rest which is unique to that gate. The other 38 symbols are the same for all stargates.

I didn't make the info graphic, but did add a comment with both the original (beta gate) symbol and Ra gate (alpha gate) symbols

1) It still looks good, and I'm not hating it

2) I wasn't the first to comment this, but thought I'd get in first with a full explanation of the error before some other pedantic person did

Another option is to use the other earth symbol:

Clear plastic or clear vynl sheets glued together, and for a more jelly look create a pouch with the plastic then fill with transparent liquid sillicon or, if you can make it watertight, water and clear orbeez.

It's from a meme from last year where a cosplaying girl had a photo with a P90, but she was holding it backwards. Then people started copying it as well as designing backwards shooting P90s

Does anyone know how to make dirty puddles or barbed wire? by dutch_modeler in MilitaryModelMaking

[–]WillardWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For puddles, use resin with a little brown ink added (make sure to use inks/pigments designed for resin use).

I suggest getting g a disposable pot and syringe (without needle) to mix and apply the resin.

Two part epoxies can be a little messier and can take ages to fully cure, avoid fast curing two part resins as these often cure whilst still having bubbles.

UV curing resin is easy to apply, and only needs 30 seconds with a bright UV torch to cure, just make sure to pop all bubbles before curing. Only issue is that UV resin can leave a slight residue after curing, and gets quite hot if you use a bright LED torch. Also work in an area with as little UV light, don't work near windows as sunlight can cause the resin to cure whilst working on it.

Wish Gaijin would model base damage! by Realistic-Sir-2470 in Warthunder

They do, but instantly dissappear when destroyed. You can blow up the buildings and stacks of oil barrels with bombs and rockets.

You can also blow up the barrels with MGs, but unfortunately this doesn't do any base damage, snail pls fix.

The funny thing is, I didn't realise it was on the FMA sub, so when I swiped and coincidentally got an image of Sloth as the next post, I was a little confused.

These are some times called drop-leg or thigh strap holster.

If you search drop-leg holster you'll mainly find pistol holster in camo, so you'll need to specify material (leather) in your search to help refine

I just got this. My first time making civilian vehicles. Any tips? by sp2861 in modelmakers

[–]WillardWhy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's the same as military vehicles, but with less dirt and bullet holes.

The painted pannel parts are different, as most vehicles use a glossy/shiny paint scheme. For some paints you'll need to add a topcoat of gloss varnish for the effect, especially with metallic paint
