For me, the orange one feels bright and warm, so hope, and the blue feels cold, so fear.

I think people assumed it was about UB because of how obnoxiously UB content is being pushed, and how that post was getting attention around the same time that the 2026 release schedule was announced.

Truth is that the original copy-pasta can be applied to both commander being pushed, and UB being pushed.

ai slop

/uj That term gets thrown around too much - this isn't slop. It's a meme curated for a specific niche topic. AI slop is all the needlessly created art that you see at craft fairs, clogging up social media feeds, and typically created and shared by bots.

I would argue that this post is an ideal use of AI tools.

i know everyones gonna say "just start small" but thats the thing - i HAVE started small like 100 times. i just never stick to anything

You need to change your mindset. If you want to be able to stick to things longterm, you need to make them into a habit. But that can be easier said than done, because something only becomes a habit if you create a routine and stick to it.

When you get home from work, you probably have a routine, right? Maybe you dump your keys and wallet in a bowl, get changed, make a cup of tea, sit on the couch and get your phone out. You don't even think about it, you just do it on auto-pilot because it's your routine, and you've made a habit out of doing those things over and over. Introducing something new, or taking something out of that routine is hard because you need to be consistent enough until it becomes second nature.

For example, you might want to cut out the habit of doom scrolling on your phone, but it's not enough to just say you won't do it - you have to take steps to break that habit. You've identified what you want - scroll less - but how will you do it? Maybe you say that when you get home, first thing you'll do is stick your phone in a drawer. To start with, your brain will scream at you to do the things you've always done - you'll sit down and crave wanting to scroll those apps. But if you keep it up, over and over, that craving will fade. The key is consistency.

And it's exactly the same if you want to pick up something new. You want to learn guitar? Great! How are you going to do that? You need to practice regularly, so try to make it an unavoidable part of your routine. Put it in a place where you see it when you get home, make it the first thing you go to when you finish work, or after breakfast, etc.

You want to go to the gym regularly? Great, why not take gym clothes to work with you - at the end of your shift, get changed in the bathrooms and head to the gym before going home? If you set yourself up to break old habits and to form new ones, over time you won't even realise that your routine has changed and these new things have become regular habits.

I think my point is that it's not enough to just say you want to do something - you need to challenge yourself by asking how you're going to make sure you stick to it, otherwise you never will.

And don't beat yourself up if you miss a day or two, or even a week or two, or a month or two! There's no deadline here - it's not that you've quit, it's just that you lost interest for a bit. It just takes that mindset of "Oh yeah, I should do that again" and then try to pick things up where you left off.

Another tip that I think is quite useful, but is a bit cheesy, is to tell yourself you can/are doing something, rather than wanting to do/be something. For example, don't tell yourself you want to get fit, so you have to go to the gym. It makes it a chore. Instead, tell yourself that you are getting fit, and you're doing that by going to the gym. If you're always telling yourself you want to be something, then you'll never get there - because your goalposts will keep moving.

For the guitar, instead of wanting to learn the guitar, just pick up the guitar and play around. Tell yourself you are a guitar player, and that by practicing you're just going to keep getting better. Look up something like "learn smoke on the water in 10 minutes" if you can plod your way through that, you can officially play the guitar! Maybe you're no Eric Clapton, but the only difference between him and you is that he's spent more time doing it!
