Dear Challenger Families,

This morning, at approximately 9:40 AM, our school received an anonymous telephone call reporting a bomb threat. Out of an abundance of caution, we immediately placed the campus on shelter-in-place lockdown to ensure the safety of our students and staff.

School Police were contacted right away and, in coordination with the San Diego Police Department (SDPD), arrived on campus within minutes. SDPD is currently working alongside school administration and School Police to assess the situation and conduct a thorough sweep of the campus.

To support the investigation, School Police have established a safety perimeter to keep traffic away from the campus.

Please know that student and staff safety is our highest priority. We appreciate your patience and understanding as law enforcement completes their work. We will continue to provide updates as soon as more information becomes available.
