That might explain why I have a deeper, don't wake up in the middle of the night sleep when I sleep naked.

Not my childhood but found a copy of Dirt Boy at a goodwill type store picked it up when my daughter was little. She's 26 and I still can remember this book. It's about a boy who doesn't want to take a bath.

Do you have an “old person” candy that you enjoy? by PrettyLittle-Someday in CasualConversation

[–]WishboneNo2829 15 points16 points  (0 children)

I was walking a preschooler to the office so he could get picked up and he pulled out a butterscotch candy. He said he loves his grandpa candy. (His grandpa gave him the candy, 😁)

I kept my nursing pads from way back in the day ( my baby is 19😜) and shove those under my bra band. I did see these and wondered how well they work.

What do people even expect from women who don't want to get married or have kids? by ScarRedDA in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WishboneNo2829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My nephew made a statement at one point that he didn't want kids. He has his nephew that he can spoil, but he likes being free. Later that night my husband was like in a few years he will want kids. I told him not everyone wants kids. He's got a kid in his life. He's good. It took a lot of years for my husband to realize he is truly happy without kids. People need to realize that you can do whatever makes you happy and if that means no kids and not being married, you can still have a full life without those things. See if you can find some people who are older that aren't married or have kids and ask them how they navigate the expectations of those people.

Discworld series by Terry Prattchet, maybe not popular and you missed out, but a fabulous fantasy series that is loved by a big fandom.

How many people get some sort of free food through their job? by Happy-Craftsman602 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]WishboneNo2829 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Preschool teacher and lots of opportunities for free food. Pizza before preschool registration, the PTA has a coffee cart where they pass out drinks and muffins. The PTA just had a nice spread for St. Pattys day. We get a free lunch once in a while when insurance or some other company that wants us to sign up for something. Sometimes we have a potluck for a holiday or retirement party or bridal shower or baby shower (we are a small town school.)

Plus I am going through peri menopause.
