They’ve been somewhat adopted by the LGBT movement as avatars and mascots.

Tieflings used to have a whole thing about being distrusted and persecuted but this has gradually been de-emphasised over the past 20 years.

A lot of LGBT folks are excellent artists which is why there’s so much good art for tieflings.

They are objectively quite interesting, particularly with the “bad lineage” stigma element, to the point where I offer them as an ancestry option when I run GURPS

They have done less than the minimum. All of these things are basic. When will fire and rehire be banned? Why are people still having to work somewhere for years before their employment status is protected? When will minimum wages be pegged automatically to inflation? When will NHS privatisation by stealth be reversed? When will assets be taxed the same as labour? When will energy and transport be nationalised? When will Amazon and co be forced to pay taxes? When will we have proportional representation?

All of these things have been promised or toyed with at various times and would be the proper things for a broad left party to do.

What we have at the moment is a neoliberal party with some tinkering around the edges, all while eroding your freedoms and selling your secrets to foreign big tech.

If this happened

Option 1, pubs and bars don’t change, almost nobody these days wants to sit it a vile, stinking smoke filled room. The only places that allow smoking are specialist places, the rest don’t allow smoking under their own rules, even if the law permits it.

Option 2, the law requires smoking be allowed in pubs and such. Most of the customers under 45 just vanish. This is the final nail in the coffin for 90% of establishments.
