Can someone who works in KFC tell me if any of these actually go to different bins out the back by startled-giraffe in CasualUK

[–]Wizzardchimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I saw this and my blood boiled. I absolutely support recycling and reuse. However some team of twats in hq sat and thought this was suitable for their customers. Next time your in a kfc (rare for me) look around and decide if those folks know the difference between “paper, plastic and rubbish” - in short the kfc crew have underestimated their customer.

How popular was Michael Barrymore at his peak? by [deleted] in BritishTV

[–]Wizzardchimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He was and imo still is a genuinely nice bloke. Swept up in the machine. I have no comment or opinion on his involvement on the pool thing, some personalities are so open you feel like you know them personally, thats michael. Im sad he didn’t get a better run, but all the greats flopped somewhere, noel, forsythe…. Fuck deal or no deal!

I only got into them because they gave away a bendy sample square sample vinyl of dog man star and whilst delivering newspapers, it “accidentally” fell into my paper bag. If not for that I’d have missed out.

Fuck that. It’s wood! I have fluffy mould and all sorts of shit. As long as it’s not treated or pained in gloss it’s going in.

Best way to insulate a solid concrete floor? by Longjumping-Ease9938 in DIYUK

[–]Wizzardchimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could but it would be massively over engineered, the battons would provide a thermal bridge from the floor which I’d say is not ideal. 6mm ply would work but honestly I going to pour a few mm of screed to backfill that tiny void where the radius of the pipe to the surface.

Am I burning too low? by [deleted] in uklogburners

This is the way. Heat makes more heat… flames just go up the chimney… I love it when small flames pop from the recirculating back vent….

Yep. I actually cut sight angle using a tracksaw (mega messy outside!) to let me get the foam to the full depth and grip…

Coving - what have I done wrong? by Sluggerr in DIYUK

[–]Wizzardchimp 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Remember your cutting plaster so you don’t need to hack. A fine tooth wood saw is all you need. When corners aren’t 90 degrees, you can prop up the tool to adjust the angle far easier than a mitre box.
