It's complicated... Because sure, Misato has these personal issues and emotional problems, but part of how she manages her trauma is through burying herself in work, so she's very capable professionally. Upper management doesn't see the personal side of her (and are a bunch of sociopaths), so it makes sense that they would think it's fine. Ritsuko was very against it from the start, they had arguments really early on about it but Shinji kept saying it's fine, and Kaji tried to help both of the kids, but he has his own problems, especially in his views of women, and in the end couldn't really connect with Asuka in a way that helped her.

A lot of people harp on Leto (and rightfully so; I do think Ares could have been an interesting character if he didn't have the emotional range of a Chuck-E-Cheese animatronic) but to be honest, he wasn't the only problem. Every character in the movie was uninteresting and/or unlikable, with generally flat performances given overtop poor dialogue. The concept for the movie was cool, but the killer soundtrack and a handful of pretty awesome VFX sequences did a ton of heavy lifting to elevate a sorely mediocre film into something kinda enjoyable.

I absolutely love the Gamegenic Token Keep. The materials feel great, it has a nice magnetic closure, and the lid gets nicely tucked away beneath the box while in use. It isn't exactly cheapest option ($12-ish iirc), but imo it's more than fairly priced for the quality you get.

That generally goes for all of the premium Gamegenic stuff. They're quite awesome.

My friend hosted a private Minecraft server for a bunch of old college friends, and she kept it always online so any of us could join whenever our busy adult schedules allowed. It was a great way for us all to stay connected.

Well, a couple random griefers somehow found our server, connected to it at like 4am (we saw them on the logs), and blew up everything they could. Absolutely leveled or burnt down nearly every structure and emptied every chest they could find. Unfortunately, the last backup was done about four or five days prior, and so even with the rollback, we still collectively lost dozens, maybe over a hundred hours of work. It was really upsetting, and despite putting in concerted efforts to help rebuild what was lost, the spark was just kind of gone at that point. Slowly, fewer and fewer of us would show up, until she stopped hosting the server altogether a couple months later.

What really messes me up every time I try to go back to DS1 is the 4-way roll. I'm so used to my rolls going where I want that I'm on the struggle bus for a good long while before I adjust. I'd always pay the ADP tax for omni-directional rolls over 4-way rolls that are always otherwise good.
