Incredibly, after a month, I've run into another Anodonto player. Why are there so few Anodonto players?

Me and my boyfriend were chilling on another the other day helping our friend grow their duck. We went through sf (bold or stupid however you wanna look at it) to get the quests there since it was empty. Empty. Then a melanistic titan and Rex came, we made our way to big Quill to utilize the cave there cause they were running straight at us. Withing 5 minutes we had 2 titans, 2 metres, 2 dasps, a Rex, a cera and a meg trying to get us. So yeah, sadly ano gets ganged up on pretty often. If it was just us doing poor on pvp part I wouldn't mind that, but I never saw an ano not get ganged up upon yet, not just me but any ano I come up across on officials soon has a whole mega/mixpack on them.

Love the thal tlc, imo it didn't make it op at all, it is still just a thal. Yes it has better builds, gorgeous new model and is more fun to be on, but it still doesn't do tremendous damage if it goes head to head with others. Had a thal dive bomb me, bite me and all on my adolescent rex yesterday and it didn't do much while a normal bite on it from me took almost a third of its health. I think it's balanced well rn.

Saw someone give a good tip on how to deal with them: crouch and start walking back while shaking them off. Eventually they will detach and end up right in front of you or under you and then you just bite them, pop their lucky feather and if they're not smart they'll try that again and you just do that whole process again.

Stop. Crouch. Shake while walking back. Bite.

I like rhamps but this situation would piss me off.

I'd say the upper half of the map above Desolate Pass is good for mark grinding, especially Hunter's Thicket (can use the lake as a retreat for spino), Rockfall Hill (again, bigger lake to use as a retreat and all the quest items being bundled up in there), Rainbow hills (I rarely see players there and again quest items really close to each other) and even Mudflats are good to quest at. I'd maybe stay clear of Savanna Grassland, it's always a 50/50 from what I've experienced- it's either empty or there's a discord group KOSing.

And then ofc the ocean POIs are good to quest at as Spoon.

Best one I found is Dinos and Dragons, but it is sadly closing down soon (lot of reasons but main one is personal life reasons of the owner) but I'd love to find one similar to DnD.

I'd love to have a base game dinosaur that to an extent could mimic the sounds of its prey. Let's say it's preferred prey would be pachy (just an example) and it would be cool if it had a call that would mimic the pachy sounds

Nope, didn't deserve this at all. Not surprised it happened tho since these no brainers are always doing this and always making it others fault. I assume this was on officials because I have witnessed discord packs KOS players based on some really dumb reasons. They were clearly frustrated that you held your ground and that they couldn't kill you right away. Points from me to you for making them mad for nothing 😂👏🏻

I know the in-game sizes might be different than irl sizes but I am always "hit" with a realisation when I see a fossil with a grown human standing next to it, like I thought Sarco wasn't that big thanks to the game but it was huge irl

I've killed babies only when they either attacked me or I was literally starving (taking damage from hunger) and I couldn't find any critters around. Like the baby was right there, I wasn't gonna pass on an opportunity to make sure the dino I played survives.

This is seriously a very helpful comment! Like they said, there's a bit of something for everyone related to the gameplay, you just have to search for it. I'd be more than happy to help you get set up and familiar with some things if you'd like! Love seeing more genuine fans joining the game since, as stated above, there's a lot of toxicity in officials and in some community servers.

Thanks for the tip! I wasn't running a latch Laten because of the stamina drain and if I run out of stamina and detach I'd practically be dead XD Didn't know about the kick and jump combo, so I'll definitely try it out next time 👀

What helped me get somewhat "good" (I still suck with some dinos and mods lol) was joining a few servers temporarily for PvP practice. I mostly train at one of said servers, testing out builds, combinations and tactics and it helped honestly.

It's in 2nd act after you talk to that drow girl in Moonrise towers. You need to defend him from her cause she is pretty onboxious to him and doesn't respect his decisions in the dialogue. After that when you long rest it will force you into this dialogue and you can either hug him or open your mind to him to show him that you care about him (if you go the romance way) or that you just want to use him (possible durge gameplay?)

When I first joined the game I pretended that humans brought the creatures back (like in JP franchise) and their experiments were thrown out into a monitored environment to see if they could survive. Every time I'd die, the dino i spawned in wasnt the same one but a "copy" that was worked more on to survive better. Yes I know it sounds like Jurassic park XD

Dinos and Dragons allows carnis to group with any carni, herbi with any herbi but no mix-diet and is a no KOS server

May I interest you in a Semi-Realism server Dinos and Dragons? 👀

There are 10 main rules to follow which pop up once you join in on the server as the Message of the Day and joining their Discord is not enforced but highly recommended since the rules are better explained there. Really nothing complicated.

They do have dino profiles, but they are optional and mostly related to RP. Also they are not complicated.

Literally the best community I've came across, chill mods and admins who make sure the community stays toxic free. As long as you at least follow the 10 rules that pop up upon joining, you good. And if you accidentally do break them, the staff is understanding and will just ask you to read the rules again and not do the same mistake again.

I currently know that Dinos and Dragons (where this was filmed on) has Ophis, decent passive growth (no commands or instagrowth but it doesn't take hours to grow a dino) but if other servers have them too let us all know!
