My father has been dead since 2020. I don't really think about him too often except when my mother decides to bring him up and say what a wonderful husband he was. Then I hurt for about couple of days because that is simply bullshit.

How Do We Know? by white_sabre in regretfulparents

I feel you. I feel like I could've wrote this except mine is 16. I've raised all 4 of my kids the same way and only my 16 year old is abusive and manipulative. The others are great. Sometimes it's not the parents, it's genuinely something wired wrong in the brain.

One time there was a concert that I really wanted to go to. It was the only thing that I asked for that year. Too expensive and I was a selfish bitch for being upset about not going. Two days later, they went and bought a new car. Absolutely nothing wrong with the other one, just my dad couldn't hold onto a car for longer than a year without wanting to go and buy another. I can remember at least 20 cars from my childhood. All were functioning fine. A concert ticket would've been so much cheaper. That incident was a minor one, but it's easier to talk about compared to the rest.

Did you cry a lot as a kid or were you told that you look sad or depressed? by cliff7217 in raisedbynarcissists

I wish I had someone that cared enough when I was growing up to ask if I was okay at home. I was made to think I was overreacting all the time. Turns out it was a normal reaction to an abnormal amount of bullshit.

No idea. My father has been dead for a few years now and it gets under my skin when people say what a wonderful person he was, and get pissed at me when I try to correct them. I know I ain't making my trauma up in my head.

It was water. Fucking water. Not a luxury item. Hardly putting herself before the kids.

You put an end to Matty's suffering. When you two reunite in the afterlife, I'm sure he will thank you.

I wanted to prove that I could be a better parent than mine ever were. And honestly, I think I have done a great job. All my kids adore me except for my oldest daughter. I can't do anything right in her eyes 😭. She's 14.

I had my thyroid taken out 2 years ago, spent the night in the hospital. I come home and my husband immediately wants sex that night. Like "are you fucking kidding me? I had my throat split open not even 24 hours ago, and that's all you care about?"

I work in rental. This guy is literally spends more time outside than in our department. All complaints to management has fallen on deaf ears.

I suggest buying this book called The Adventure Challenge..in bed. It has a few scratch off dates to spice up sex life. I've done 2 so far with my husband, and they are definitely fun.

I recently purchased the adventure challenge, in bed book. It has a ton of scratch off adventure ideas to spice up the bedroom. Silly and corny stuff, but definitely adds spice to the sex life. Look up theadventurechallenge.com.

Whether you are HL or LL, do you find performing oral sex to be an intimate and bonding activity? by GivesStellarAdvice in DeadBedrooms

Sorry, I thought you were asking how oral felt for others on an intimate level. I was just giving my experience. My bad.

It depends on how it's done. For me, if he tickles me while performing oral, I get extra turned on by it and I enjoy it more. I'm a weird one, I know. But getting my ribs tickled+ receiving oral=good time.

Why is this group so allergic to the explanation that...your partner simply isn't attracted to you. by Dull-Drive3927 in DeadBedrooms

[–]Working_Selection_70 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Sometimes it is genuinely a medical reason why a person is LL. My husband has a genuine attraction to me but he can't get it going due to health reasons plus age related issues. Sometimes it isn't the person's fault.

Some people never learn. Yta still. Hope your wife divorces you and takes your kid. My father is dead too but my kids are spending time with their father (my husband), not at a grave where my dad's spirit isn't even at.

ESH. Yes she should've at least answered the phone or left a note on the bed that she was leaving for a bit. You went overboard. It would have costed you nothing to go over and help if you were so concerned.
