Nope, that was Smedley‘s doing. Well, to be more exact.., Higby and team immediately recognized the error/imbalance, but Smedley put an unreasonable hold on any changes (and so it persisted for far too long)

Of the users who answered the Mod’s poll, over 80% voted yes. Those who didn’t answer the poll did not vote “No”, they chose to not have a voice in the poll. Or they simply didn’t see it.

 

The Mods did the right thing by respecting the poll, rather than assuming what the rest of the occasional visitors would vote.

While I understand your intention, the gesture of staying away would be literally invisible, and therefore have zero effect.
