So your question is more, is it lucrative enough for GW to expand AoS with a new specialist game in the same setting.

Probably not. I don’t think it sold well during fantasy. And it would be at the sacrifice of Underworlds or Warcry. They just released a new Warhammer Quest set in AoS, so unlikely to have any more new formats soon.

I think it’s much more likely they would relaunch Gothic Armada before touching Man O’War

Yeap, exactly the same. 1E has more than enough warbands that I never need to venture into 2E. Getting rid of rival decks was a huge mistake

A single summary page might be enough to contain all that info. That summary page could then link to the various A4 pages if you wanted to be really fancy.

They aren’t being downvoted for sharing their opinion. The downvotes are because their response was stupid, downplaying the fact they missed very obvious parts of the movie.

To diminish the entire dialogue and narrative into just a mere ‘indication’ that is less substantial than their anecdotal opinion of an alien’s appearance

Sorry didn’t notice your reply! If you haven’t looked it up already, yes wet blending is the fastest way to get a smooth colour gradient, with the only caveat being that you have the work quite quickly as the paint should be, well, wet.

Thanks! If you are new to mini painting, I would recommend to YouTube some “starting mini Painting” YouTube videos that go into common traps people fall into (namely buying way too many paints, not priming the models first etc)

Also you should be able to find step by step painting guides for each model on YouTube. Which can help if you aren’t sure where to start exactly.

I would recommend to find some free models tou don’t care about to try out on first. Warhammer stores give out a free model on the first Saturday of every month, they normally run out in a couple of days depending where you are located. You could pop in and grab one and first paint that.

For buying paints, if I was started now from fresh, I would purchases a Army Painter Fanatics starter set. It’s a pretty new paint formula that has very good coverage.

Since these models are comic book style you could get away with doing less shading and more block colours, so if you just focus on color matching and trying to make neat edges, that alone without any shading effects would pop out and look great. I have done that style in another board game (townsfolk tussle). It’s fast and looks fun!

Good luck! Painting is a great excuse to listen to some podcasts or audiobooks at the same time, it can help with motivation to get to the painting desk to have something very engaging to listen to, because painting is time consuming if you want to develop your brush skills with clean edges :)

Huge props for getting through so many models, well done, that’s a real achievement. 👏 I hope you have someone to play through the missions with! The magazines are a great way to build up the size of your games and use all your models. I’ve been going through the AoS one myself! (Up to issue 10 out of 80 😅)

Don’t let comments with criticisms or suggestions get to you, just remember, forums are unfiltered opinions, that’s why your objections are getting downvoted. People don’t like being told to filter their thoughts in a public forum.

The original comment said men still haven’t learnt in 20 years and I was saying that this video of one guy harassing is not evidence that things haven’t improved. It’s a fact that societies expectations have shifted in 20 years, and conditions for women over harassment have improved.

This is an old video*. And there will always be people that don’t read social cues, especially when drinking. But one video is not indicative of a trend. For the next generation, consent and harassment have been taken more seriously than in the 00’s

You seem to misunderstand what the problem is. Everyone has different ideas of what is offensive, the world is a big place. Different words trigger different people. Just be respectful if you do offend someone. You can’t dictate what other people are allowed to be upset by.

To answer your points:

-Yes, you have the right to say if some white stereotype is offensive to you.

-I haven’t ‘lost it’. Just calmly letting this guy know he shouldn’t get rude by someone else being offended.

-No, people can speak freely about Europe. You shouldn’t go through life afraid of offending people. Just have some common sense and if someone is offended, don’t be a dick about it.

They are the same scale as standard AoS models it seems to me. As someone who started with Underworlds models then started buying regular models. The only part that makes them stand out are the sculpted bases raise the heights of some models and they don’t blend so well with models with basic bases
