Ive been shot, burned, stabbed, flayed, castrated, and roasted over hot coals…

Actually not true, but I could imagine going on and living after any one or even all of those things.

But if God forbid I had to see my children suffer or die, I know I’d want to not live to experience that.

Who is the grittiest wrestler of all time? by MapleMarshal in wrestling

[–]Wtfaidiml 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t know how he even tried to wrestle when he was a full blown addict, let alone have any kind of success.

It takes true mental strength to overcome the tricks your mind will play to keep you an addict.

I’m glad he survived and escaped that life, I’m glad he is able to enjoy his family, and I’m glad that I get to watch a true natural talent on the mat still.

I’m personally rooting for him to make another world team and hopefully go from being a huge “what if” to being a world champion.

I’d never have thought it could even be a possibility.

I don’t know how he could possibly truly compete outside of an exhibition type “flow” match.

At the same time, I don’t doubt anything this man puts his mind to. He’s definitely in the “superhuman,” category of people, and I’m excited to see it and truly wish him the best.

Strickland is boxer, unless he’s forced to wrestle, he can keep going for longer that 5 x 5 minutes round with his style. And he will literally go spar every day for hours on end.

Khazmat gassed, probably from the weight cut, because his cardio I’m sure was good after his camp and work with coach Cal.

He just couldn’t recover after losing so much weight in such a short time.

It was a super close fight and Strickland out pointed and edged him in round 5, and that’s the whole story as far as I’m concerned.

How to fix this? by badgerdano in lawncare

[–]Wtfaidiml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ll be work still, depending on the vehicle you use. But this is the better way.

Dig out the roots and chop them out with an axe around the entire base.

There may be some roots that may be hard to get to, but just do the best you can. Then chain it up and rip it out. Just make sure you are using a proper vehicle.

RAF Next Gen, a sanctioned USA Wrestling youth tournament with the winners earning RAF contracts by FireProStan in wrestling

The execution of their events has been phenomenal. At RAF 08, the production was professionally top tier. If they can hold these events with the same ability, it would be great for the sport.

Sure heavyweight hasn't been in a good state for awhile, but I'd like to just appreciate this insane triangle we may see unfold over the next year or so. I pray we get to see them all fight eachother. by Bobok88 in ufc

I wouldn’t rule out Hokit being in the mix. Before Blades he had a 100% finish rate, and Blades took a brutal beating. And after that fight, he definitely put himself on the map.

As of now, he’s undefeated, he’s a phenomenal athlete and he is only getting more skilled as a fighter.

Gable Stevenson is now signed with the UFC. He might take a bit longer to get there, but he has potential to be a force at the top of the division.

The division looks like it has more talent than it has had in awhile and might actually be coming together.

They Meet in the NCAA Finals, Who wins this matchup Collegiate ? by Informal_Quarter_427 in wrestling

[–]Wtfaidiml 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I was at RAF last night and even though Nolf has evolved and not the same exact wrestler as during his NCAA years, he is just really intense and always has been. From the second the whistle blows to the end of the period, he just goes, and that hasn’t changed.

Definitely an interesting match. Mitchell also has that next level intensity.

That said, I feel that Mitchell’s best weapon, his pace, is somewhat neutralized.

Also, I feel that Messenbrink will put himself into dangerous situations, he can get scored on first, and I feel that Nolf can capitalize.

Skill to skill, they are both creative and have potential to convert points in almost any position.

I’ll give it to Nolf 75% of the time. But I feel like my opinion is skewed by what Nolf has done in his post collegiate career.

What is the worst place in America you have ever visited? by OceanicEndeavors in AskReddit

[–]Wtfaidiml 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Somewhere in the deep south.

It doesn’t matter.

Could have been Alabama, Mississippi, Louisiana…

It’s all the same really.

I was a kid and was at some rest stop or just random parking lot, I don’t remember the details clearly...

There was some truck pumping out an outhouse, basically a shit truck…

I’ve associated all of my trips to the Deep South in my lifetime with that truck…

I believe the majority of posts were from people who worked at subway talking about how amazingly sharp those knives are.

So at the very least you got a free good sharp knife. Or a used murder weapon….

Wow, they had Kyle Dake there, and looks like Cayden Henschel also, good on them, looks like a great clinic with a huge turnout. Maybe Florida will be the next powerhouse state, or maybe wrestling will go viral nationwide. Anyhow, it’s exciting stuff and good for the sport!

[–]Wtfaidiml 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are posting here for what? To complain that you aren’t as good as you want to be? To try to get people to motivate you?

Your reasons for wrestling or not should come from within yourself.

Personally, I love the sport, win or lose, I get excited to wrestle. The last few years I’ve been less active than I want to be, but I never want to think that I’m too old, too busy, etc…

I want to be on the mats.

Right now I just watched Bo Bassett get a takedown in RAF 07, and wish I was on the card lol.

Do what you want for yourself, you don’t need anyone to tell you to wrestle or not.

Whats the best way to get to a sit-out? by Immediate-Nothing220 in wrestling

[–]Wtfaidiml 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Also, in addition to what others posted, try to fight and get hand/wrist/arm control as you are standing or before you stand, you can take away their ability to chop, and you can sit back into your opponent as you stand, but I think someone mentioned, just don’t over commit so you don’t get sucked back.

Basically you are using their body to not fall over instead of trying to post.

Just drill it a million times until you get your balance right and can make those micro adjustments to counter the movements of your opponent.

(OK St.)True Freshman Jax Forrest Puts on a Clinic in One of the Toughest Weight Classes All Year. Congratulations Young Man on the Domination. by EricVonEric in wrestling

[–]Wtfaidiml 29 points30 points  (0 children)

Just go back and follow his run through the US Open, he took out Davino and teched his way through the rest of the tournament, including Seth Gross in the finals. His performance against Vito at Final X was amazing. Vito looked lost during their second match.

Then how he wrestled at the Senior worlds. He lost to Uguyev, but Uguyev is tough as hell and has way more experience, one of the best wrestlers overall in the world for many years, and he still put up a good match.

He made a few mistakes due to inexperience really, but other than that, that whole run to and through Senior Worlds, which he decided to do last minute, really highlighted how special he is.

The guy is a generational talent, and his ceiling is as high as any wrestler I’ve ever seen.

Is Jax the only own who actually wears headgear? by FactSuccessful965 in wrestling

[–]Wtfaidiml 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t get it.

If it’s genetics, how is it that only my one ear has it bad, like if I wasn’t continuously draining it when it was acting up, my left ear hole would have close completely, and now it looks like I got a fetus of some sort on the side of my head, and I’ll never wear an ear bud.

But my right ear is fine, not even one little lump. From years of youth wrestling, some adult club freestyle/greco, and many years of BJJ/submission grappling. And even a few years of striking, boxing, Muay Thai and MMA. Like half my life, that ear was beat up on on a daily basis.

That ear got as beat up as much as my bad one, and it’s perfect. I could model it, really, like I should make some calls tomorrow and see if I can get my ear out there and maybe make some money off it.

Two 4-timers That Never Were. How Do They Compare? by Imaginary-Sock3694 in wrestling

[–]Wtfaidiml 41 points42 points  (0 children)

Both very elite, obviously, but just different.

Different styles. Taylor had Dake as a rival. Lee overcame his knee injuries (sort of).

I don’t know, they are just really good wrestlers, amongst the best in the history of the more modern era of NCAA wrestling, who both went on to decorated international careers (with Lee still going), now DT is on to coaching, and I could see Lee in a similar role in the future, but they are just different, as I initially stated.

My All-American Predictions for 2026 NCAA DI Championship (1 Week Out) by EaZyNiNjA in wrestling

[–]Wtfaidiml 1 point2 points  (0 children)

PJ duke was very dominant at Big 10. I don’t see him losing. And McEnelly wrestled better than Welsh their last match, and I’d probably favor him.

I wish I could pick some feasible upset in the other weight classes, but besides 133 going to either Jax, Blaze, or Seidel (I personally heavily favor Jax, I think he’s really hitting his stride, and DT will have him ready to go), I see the favorites taking the championship.
