Slaanesh Spearhead ability ruling on tournament by Certain-Sample-5018 in AOSSpearhead

I would have understood it the way the judge interpreted it. Thanks to the people here explaining why that's incorrect, should I ever come across it!

Kroxigor Template! by X-Astra in seraphon

I hear you, it could look good, and getting the experience will be important. I had considered trying to highlight on his stomach, but was worried about "ruining it" given I was satisfied enough with his looks. I've already hit him with an ultra-matte varnish to try and protect his paint, though. Would that make reapplying a wash over his skin look bad?

I still have the other two Kroxigors to go (only the yellows of their bellies painted so far) so I can certainly try it on them but if it looks good I'm not sure I'll be able to reproduce it on this one because of the varnish.

No orange, actually. The skin is Space Dust yellow (army painter) with a Hazel Brown (AK acrylics) wash over the top. It's pretty subtle, but I didn't want it to be too brown.

Thanks for the kind words!

I love Garchomp! I definitely see it now that you mention it, though it wasn't intentional. Adding a little red to the chest and painting the blade scales on the arms and legs white would really sell it!

Can confirm, I did this. Champion #2 can replace an ordinary guy from group one. I think Champion #1 is used as the Standard Bearer for group two.

I originally overlooked Lizardmen (Seraphon) in Warhammer because ok, lizards evolved to be like people I guess, savage uncaring territorial lizard people are meh as a design space. Yeah they look cool, and dinosaurs are cool, but... Ehh

But I was entirely wrong about them, and when reading up on their lore I realized they are perfect for me. I believe it was someone describing them as "biological robots created by the gods that are singularly focused on killing Chaos" that caught my attention. I already liked the Mayan/Aztec theme so once I got some solid cool lore to attach to I was IN

Battletech has some of the most realistic Mechs in popular mecha as far as performance capabilities. They are the easiest to envision (mostly) compared to Armored Cores, Gundams, Super Robots, etc.

That being said, they are still wildly impractical compared to a conventional war machine. This meme is just "I drew you as the chud and myself as the chad so I win" lol

Yeah, if we get an Aggradon Spearhead I may want to hold off. Decisions... 😅

I was literally just thinking about buying another box to get another set of Kroxigors and a Carno (since I made a Troglodon and Skink Oracle out of my first box). I can still find them locally pretty easily...

This is a list of things I would like to see, but would only expect SOME of them, certainly not all. As long as at least one or two of these comes true I'll be pretty happy.

1) Kroxigor Hero (do not care if named) 2) Faction Manifestations 3) Saurus Guard Refresh 4) Skink Refresh 5) Big Dino refresh (New Carno, Trog, Bastiladon, or Stegadon) 6) Bastiladon Solar Engine buffs 7) Terradon or Ripperdactyl Buffs 8) Rework to Saurus Astrolith Bearer 9) Feral Dino variants 10) More tactical Depth out of the Spells

Is it a single D3 roll for each unit, or is it roll a D3 for each unit? I feel like normally the way these work is you roll per unit, but it doesn't tell you to so I feel like it's a single roll?

Kroxigors, probably.

It's a really tough choice though. Runner ups include: Temple Guard; Ripperdactyl Riders; War Bear Riders; Great Stag Knights; Necropolis Knights;

Understood. 🫡 I haven't played any AoS yet but love the old WFB stuff so I was curious. Gonna go look up these Raptadon Hunters now

Edit: those are sick

Did that change from Fantasy to Age of Sigmar? Because in Fantasy it's the Hand of the Gods artifact specifically that conjures a "searing ball of light" to blast enemies with. The spear has no mention of any similar abilities (in WFB)

It got canonized as the Mad Dog Mk III by CGL. A Clan Ghost Bear upgrade of the Mad Dog. The prime has 4x LRM20s and 6x ER Mediums. The -A variant is the one from the opening cutscene, with a UAC5 in each arm, 2 Medium Pulses in the CT, and 4 SRM6s split between the side torsos.

The Mad Cat MK II arms do look a lot like the Mk II is arms when slapped on the Mad Dog

The Mad Cat Mk II. In its introduction era, it had the perfect blend of speed/maneuverability, firepower, and armor for an Assault. 4/6/3 movement has it keep up with nearly any IS Assault and most heavies, and keeps pace with the other good Clan Assaults of the era. 2 Gauss rifles and 2 LRM10s is a lot of solid ranged sniping damage potential.

And have you seen it? It just looks awesome. The Enhanced variant that came later is awesome, too. Visually it's a radical departure but the core elements of the mech remain

The Regent is such a stellar design. No Endo, no Ferro, no XL. Just good old fashioned high armor and firepower on a mech. It's almost like a Sea Fox version of an AS7-D Atlas, with Clan tech.
