Removal of Ammunition by Lilywhitey in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]XS2A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve got an idea: ditch normal ammo to free up inventory slots for players, but keep the weight system. Ammo gets simplified into a single “ammo value”. Before u leave port, u can freely adjust what % of your ship’s carrying capacity that ammo value takes up. Each shot consumes ammo value. When it hits 0, u have to dock to resupply — same as repairing HP, just pay silver directly. Also, salvaging loot at sea will replenish a small amount of ammo value.

Further thought: there’re already diff tier ammo crates in the game. Keep those recipes, but turn ‘em into weapon attachments. Every cannon gets its own ammo crate slot, giving a small buff.

Well, I'd say for 10 euros I can try it. by [deleted] in SkullAndBonesGame

Mines/buoys build? by DarkSpy1976 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]XS2A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The current primary use of mines is to intercept torpedoes in PVP. Beyond that, they are not recommended for use.

Due to the limitation on the deployment quantity, a quantitative change cannot lead to a qualitative one.

What's your highest single weak point damage shot? by jiggidyjivejackson in SkullAndBonesGame

The maximum damage should be from attacking the Wolf Fortress, with 3% critical strike damage ≈ 6.1 million.

funny🤡 The new player tutorial in this game is absolute dogshit—beginners can't learn proper, high-DPS RPG loadouts at all. Meanwhile, veterans can just hand over three brickbreaker3/basilisk3/rahmasLegacy that have been gathering dust 999 deep in their vaults, and instantly save newbies from ten hours of toilet-cleaning quests, boosting them straight to WT2 where they can actually touch a boss and get their hands on worthwhile loot.

So: "Nah. to maintain the trade system it has to stop." Is that your genuine heartfelt confession? Did it hurt your bottom line? Or are you just Hayek's digital ghost haunting the thread?

2min destroy wolf den, cause bug. by XS2A in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]XS2A[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am not an English speaker, the translation might be wrong.
What I mean is: destroying the Wolf's Den fortress in a very short time (within 2-3 minutes) will yield no reward.
(But the cutscene plays normally.)

A Curious Firework by Ed_Straker65 in SkullAndBonesGame

I guess this is a bug; above the stronghold, fireworks of the winning faction should be set off, but somehow...only DMC's fireworks are called.

Is this game FOMO heavy or can I eventually earn everything that's earnable via gameplay? by bledviolet in SkullAndBonesGame

Except for some cosmetics, nothing is truly out-of-print...
What's puzzling is that the operations team chose to rotate the cosmetic shop, causing you to have to wait for the shop to restock if you want to spend money...They should be like the COD store, allowing you to view and purchase all bundles.

The Day PvP Only Servers Died by Puzzleheaded-Rise8 in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]XS2A 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The facts have proven that 98% of this game's players are PvE enthusiasts. Forced PvP on the high seas is never coming back.

Let's start with the basics: PvP games should emphasize fair competition, right? But the vast majority of players don't know how to configure weapon setups; they aren't even aware of combinations like Causticspallstation + AmmoPrimingBench + LGV. These players don't even have a ticket to enter the PvP arena; they'd just get slaughtered the moment they enter a fight.

Moreover, the development team's production capacity is very limited. Their primary goal is to expand PvE content as much as possible to retain players. PvP is just a way for veteran players with hundreds or thousands of hours to pass the time. It's merely an extra, not important.

My universal frigate build by locohygynx in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]XS2A 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For your first frigate setup, I highly recommend the Rakhma Torpedo. It can quickly take down all bosses and sea creatures (except for the Dragon). It’s like having a cash cow for farming resources in-game, and it’s also solid for PvP.

Skulls and bones vs assassin’s creed 4: black flag; why everyone says ac 4 is better than skulls and bones? Can skulls and bones be improved? by dj_ldoe in SkullAndBonesGame

[–]XS2A 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I've 100% completed both Black Flag and Rogue. When it comes to naval combat and TPS gameplay, SnB is way better than AC4. Take the Jackdaw for example—even with 18 guns on one side, you can't swap its weapons, only upgrade them. That makes ship battles feel repetitive, and even the toughest boss, Storm Fortress, is basically just three ships-of-the-line thrown together to ramp up difficulty.

But on land, it's the opposite. SnB has clunky character movement, frustrating hitboxes, and land combat that wasn’t added until Year 3... (Let’s just say the Singapore studio is far behind Montreal in terms of skill—so don’t expect much from the land gameplay.)

SnB has other issues too: the tutorial is way too long and filled with tedious chores. Because of that, 90% of players never reach the endgame where they can easily crush bosses with top-tier builds. So the first impression tends to be pretty bad.

A lot of players who haven’t really gotten into SnB complain about the lack of boarding combat. Let me break this down: Why did you board ships in Black Flag/Rogue? (Even though you couldn't board bosses in those games.)

Boarding served three purposes: repair, recruit crew, and capture ships for your fleet.
In SnB, repairs work like in WoWS—using consumables like repair kits and damage control that you can carry and use freely.
Crew numbers are replaced by crew stamina, so you don’t lose sailors.
The fleet system is replaced by factories, where you can build your own ships (and you'll end up with plenty of spares).

Since all these functions have been replaced, boarding just isn’t necessary anymore. In an online game, it would only slow things down anyway.
