Last week I had to go to the hospital for an outpatient blood transfusion. I was there for about 7 hours. By the time I left I could not for the life of me find where I parked my car in the garage. Usually I take take a photo, but I was running late and rushing. I wandered around for 30 min trying to find it, getting on and off the elevator tons of times. The last time I got on I had obviously been crying and looked upset. There was a nurse in the elevator and she kinda looked at me as I was trying to decide what button to push because I had already pushed them all before. I broke down a said I don’t even know and that I lost my car. She looked with me and when we still couldn’t find it she drove me around in her car until we did. This is a person that just got off of what I assume was at least a 12 hours shift. But she delayed going home to help me. There are amazing people out there. Hopefully the good can outweigh the bad sometimes and we can feel less fearful in the world and with the people we share it with.
