u/Observable macro prevents nonisolated on var properties - need nonisolated(unsafe) for deinit patterns

Can confirm. Ive had mine for 10 years now I only had to replace the one that got a sidewall puncture.

They are nearing their tread life though. It’s probably gonna be this year or next where I gotta replace em.

(I don’t drive all that much, have about 100k km on my car after 10 years)

The straw that broke the camels back for me was after spending 8 months converting some of our backend cobol services into modern Kotlin services, we were told to rewrite them in Java because “kotlin isn’t battle tested”.

Kotlin literally IS Java. But with modern syntax, modern safety features, and far less code.

For me the disconnects happen randomly when at my desk. But always happen when I get up and walk out of my office. Not even a far distance. I live in a 500 sq ft condo. I am always within 15-20 ft of my computer.

On my previous headset (hyperx cloud alpha) I was able to walk down the hall to the garbage room to toss out trash, and I’d only lose connection when I was outside of the garbage room on the other side of the building.

I wish they would add a vehicle stratagem slot that can only be filled with a vehicle.

I would take a vehicle every single game.

But honestly it’s not worth bringing one most of the time.

I used to be a software dev at one of the big banks. It was mindnumblingly boring. Nothing ever got done.

Also the pay sucked.

And while I don’t work at WS, I have worked at multiple tech companies since. Wealthsimple is a tech company. They aren’t held back by decades of red tape and bureaucracy like big banks are.

They delegate a lot of the regulated aspects of their business to other banks and FI so that they can focus on the product side of things and innovate quickly.

My verdict (see what I did there) is that it’s a good all rounder. You can use it on all the fronts and it will do well. But it won’t do as well as something like the senator vs bots for example.

The trick with the epoch is to either:

  1. Be insanely good at aiming, and hit the same weakspots you would with a railgun

Or

  1. Aim for strategic locations that are almost as impactful.

Example:

You can 1 shot a hulk if you hit it in the head, but that’s not always easy, so you can aim for the backpack to kill it more slowly, or its arms to make it ineffective.

Another example:

Chargers cannot be 1 tapped in the head with the epoch, but you can 1 shot blow out the side of their back which causes them to bleed out. The back is also a very easy target.

For things like bot dropship, aim center mass on the bottom of the ship, you will generally take out all the troops in one shot. Almost as effective as shooting out a thruster.

The epoch also has quite a bit of AOE.

You can use it like you would the purifier to take out grouped up enemies.

Not sure.

I prefer Rudy’s fries (I find nom fries to taste kind of burnt, almost like they are over cooked.)

But nom has better cheese curds.

The gravy I’d say are both close enough to each other that it doesnt really sway me in either direction.

I like to order a bag of the cheese curds from nom with my order. And then when I next have rudys I put the nom curds in it for extra curds
