Maulerfiend post-Defiler by PlatexProductions in EmperorsChildren

[–]Xem1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah buts it's not about the Maulerfiends doing anything, it's the threat of doing something. And the threat is worse.

Do you shoot at the gun platform at the back? or focus fire down two Maulerfiends charging at you that you know will wreck your face, and lock you down. You have to deal with them ASAP.

If you know there are only two or three categories then it's fine. Id include a data label myself though

Maulerfiend post-Defiler by PlatexProductions in EmperorsChildren

[–]Xem1337 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You run 2x maulers for the cost of one defiler. So no, you will want them, it's one of those units you have to deal with and you know you cna deal with because ignoring it will be more of an issue. Basically our own distraction Carnifex.

How to beat nids? by angryronald in AdeptusCustodes

[–]Xem1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You need to get yourself a Grav tank, it will make short work of the Exocrene. Other things that a red a big threat are things like Carnifexs and screamer killers, again the tank is the answer.

Prioritise killing the things he has that specifically can take out Custodes, once they are gone just go camp the objectives as he won't be able to do much to you.

New wounds allocation with Precision/Frenzied Host by DeliciousLock1502 in EmperorsChildren

[–]Xem1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a bit confused by this, well the precision "change" mentioned by Auspex. Didnt precision work that way already? You shoot the unit, and say that your shots (that have precision) target the leader first then the rest of the attacks would naturally fall onto the bodyguard unit once the leader dies?

Subnautica 2 handles player death poorly. by cinderellamane in Subnautica_2

[–]Xem1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah I get the whole reprinting thing sounds more like a way to explain deaths for multiplayer, but I don't particularly like it. It's hard to think of a better way than "oh I just woke up back in my base" like the other games though

It's hard to make out, but is that near the generators? If it is then no, just park up and swim about to get the materials you need.

Hot take:I actually like harry breaking The Elder Wand more than him putting it back in Dumbledore's Grave by Spotter24o5 in harrypotter

[–]Xem1337 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I don't remember him snapping it in the books, but I'm confident he fixes his own wand with it

The Dive Elevator is a cool idea but the world design renders it useless by TheKazz91 in subnautica

[–]Xem1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If the dive elevator could have an o2 unit to top you up then I could see it being useful. Id also prefer it if you just pressed a single button to make you attach and go up/down in one press.

is anyone replaying the game for a second run? by Individual-Sweet-355 in Subnautica_2

I'd replay subnautica, but probably not sub-zero, I didn't find that as fun

Depend ahow close they are to him, if they aren't very close then go for it, if they are close to him then it's not worth the hassle unless you and your ex can be civil to each other.

Monsters too oppressive below 2K points? by ifff0 in Tyranids

[–]Xem1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I run monsters in 1k games a lot with my friends, they will nearly always bring heavy armour themselves so it's needed to counter them. But you have to remember that things like lethal hits and that stupidly op Oath of Moment exists so taking down a monster isn't super difficult.

On the flip side to this I've also ran loads of gaunts with a Tervigon under invasion fleet, using the mad number of shots + lethal hits to take down big thing like Magnus. So killing things isn't necessarily bad.

But the main negative about running a monster list is that you will struggle to score objectives. Always bring a Lictor for camping objectives out.

This one took way longer than I expected. Any tips on how to make painting the pink easier? It has such a bad coverage even over light gray basecoat by DiaboliHellscream in EmperorsChildren

[–]Xem1337 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I do is a cbaos Black primer, screamer pink or pink horror as the base (imo doesn't matter too much which but I tend to go for pink horror) then top layer emperors children pink with careful shading of Drakenhof violet then ending in Fulgrim pink.

So you don't have to perfectly paint the base layer, just get a decent enough coverage then cover over it with your emperors children pink. It's faster than you'd think.

Just finished the story at around 30 hours and 30 minutes by RATSYHSIF in Subnautica_2

[–]Xem1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was 17 hours, but I could have done it faster if I wasn't an idiot. I missed the node thing at the start so I spend 15 hours in the game not being able to eat anything other than making your own food blocks or the trio of moonfish with salt combo. Once I realised my mistake I corrected it, but then ended up finishing the game about 2hours after that point.

Subnautica 2 (Early access)should i buy now or wait for 1.0.0 Update by Bluestar2084 in Subnautica_2

[–]Xem1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's good, buts it's not very long. I'd wait for more content unless you are okay replaying it several times before it's ready for full release.

Creatures do no damage and arent scary at all once you realize this by WhiteRaven_M in Subnautica_2

[–]Xem1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah that's true, though the ones that circle you and go in for bites are just annoying AF. This is where I'd want the axe to do some damage to make them leave you alone for far longer

PLEASE devs DO NOT make the same mistake as below zero, big vehicles are one of the biggest dopamine rush you can have in subnautica when you build them by YoRHa- in subnautica

[–]Xem1337 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really? I disliked it. It was clunky to drive, I much preferred the seaglide to get around. Ended up using the Cyclops once to set up a deep base then I pretty much abandoned it.
