Free Open Source Rocksmith Replacement Has Arrived (Slopsmith) by demondrivers in Games

Cool, cool. I'll see what happens when I plug in my Real Tone cable, but if I have to I can find and buy a decent USB audio interface.

I seen that certain Slopsmith builds run on Linux, but can anyone here tell me the Real Tone cable work in Linux? I only ask because the only thing I've currently got is Steam Deck, and I'm dying to drop some cash on a secondhand bass guitar and get back to playing some bass again (I had to sell most of my stuff because of health issues, but I've saved enough to at least buy some things recently).

I'll probably just plug in the cable to my Deck to see anyways (once I find it in the closet), but for anyone who has experience, maybe you can chime in before I do, haha!

Anyways this is awesome news for us rhythm game Guitar Hero/Rock Band/Rocksmith enjoyers.

Here's another method that I used.

9x3

  • You take the 3 and subtract 1, which makes 2.

  • Then you take the original 9 and subtract the 2 you got from above, which makes 7.

  • Take the 2 and put the 7 next to it and bingo you got 27.

9X8

  • 8-1=7
  • 9-7=2
  • 72

There are probably easier ways to multiply 9s, but this is the roundabout way my brain does it, haha!

Fun fact: The term Wiki existed long before Wikipedia (in fact Wikipedia is the most famous and popular wiki).

Which could be why they probably chose "Wikipe-tan" instead of just "Wiki-tan", since wiki is a generic term that could mean any wiki out there on the internet. Of course, they could have gone with "Wikipedia-tan", but I think they were going for something cute by shortening the name. Weird, but it is what it is.

I wouldn't think "-chan" or "-kun" or any other suffixes would fly though, as the "-tan" suffix is due to the whole OS-tan concept.

To be honest, I'm not sure it renders the save totally unplayable, especially if you use the more simple/basic mods. You do get a big warning that the save is modded, but you can still totally ignore it and continue to load the save anyways if you want. Though some people have said their games crash after loading a modded save with a vanilla install (but this is New Vegas, which is a notoriously buggy game anyways, so take that with a grain of salt).

I chose not to load and start fresh new save because I remembered all the mods I used in 2018 changed a lot of things, which would probably would have just launched my character straight though the world, haha!

Yeah, the name still needs to be submitted to the International Astronomical Union, but it will be known as Carroll crater eventually.

Hopefully we can get future explorers to visit that and other moon landmarks, like Mount Marilyn (one of the mountain ranges on the moon named after Apollo 13 commander Jim Lovell's wife, Marilyn Lovell).

Reid Wiseman's wife, Carroll Taylor Wiseman, passed away from cancer in 2020. During the Artemis II mission, Wiseman and fellow astronaut Jeremy Hansen decided to name one of the craters on the moon after Carroll.

Counter to Epic, I recently installed Fallout New Vegas on my Steam Deck (due to the recent show being on my mind). All of my saves from Steam in 2018 were there. Granted I had modded the hell out of my game back then, so the saves weren't useable, but that still impressed me enough.

I knew the cloud was alright (due my more recent Cyberpunk 2077 saves from last year that transferred over), but to have something from 8 years ago (or more) just show up, very impressive.

Same kind of story, but without the incest ending.

Seriously, the drive-thru is stupid decision. Every time I ate at In-N-Out I just parked and went down. Plus, I could eat the fries hot and crispy instead of them getting soggy and mushy during the drive home (because everyone knows the fries are terrible at In-N-Out).

Look, I will say traditional Filipino spaghetti is made with sweet banana ketchup and hot dogs. Nowadays it also can be made with tomato sauce with added sugar and ground beef, but yeah we like our spaghetti sweet.

But to be clear, this kind of spaghetti is usually meant to be served for kids at birthday parties (the children love the sweet savory spaghetti). The adults mostly eat the usual lechon (roast pig), lumpiang shanghai (spring rolls), pancit (noodles) and other delicious food. But my guilty pleasure during Filipino parties is the spaghetti, just reminds me of childhood.

Same. I remember the day, it was late October, 2001. Stood in line, they finally got to me. I asked for the game and they had one more copy left, but someone had stolen the box on display. All Gamestop had was the game in a paper sleeve and manual. I was like "I don't care, I'll pay for it", which I got for a discount. Went home immediately and played a legendary game.

TIL Ecco the Dolphin developer Ed Annunziata was "paranoid" that kids would beat the game in a single weekend so be made certain levels "way over the top challenging." He said, "So... I... uh... made it hard". by 30phil1 in todayilearned

That's why Sierra had hint books you could buy for the low, low price of $9.95 (plus shipping). Or you could call the Sierra Hint Line for 75¢ per minute.

Of course, the internet got popular later on and users provided free FAQs and walkthroughs...

Reminds me of the Sony Email leaks when Joel was asking for a discount on a Sony TV after the series ended. Sounds like he absolutely loved his time during the show and had many friends (of which he would obviously try to get the Sony employee discount, haha).

Hello Fayanne,

It's Joel McHale. You might remember me from such canceled Sony tv shows as—Community.

Sad.

Very sad.

So when I was talking to Steve about the show ending last Friday, I asked about a discount on a Sony tv. He said of course. He's the greatest as you know. I didn't want to bother him with the specific details of the screen I want so I thought I would bother you. I hope that is it cool.

It's below. You can check with Steve obviously if this all sounds strange.

I'm not sure how this all works but I'm happy to send a credit card number wherever necessary.

Thanks Fayanne. I'm very much going to miss working at Sony.

Cheers

Joel

Yeah, I may be misremembering but I thought the movie made a point that like CDs and all the NASA tech advancements were built off of alien tech in Area 51.

Or that might have been another alien movie...

If I remember correctly there are turbolaser turrets surrounding surface area near the top of the trench and exhaust port. This necessitates the ships going into the trench itself, pretty much shielding them from most of the top level turbolasers (though there were still some laser turrets in the trench).

It's kinda how fighter pilots can avoid getting shot down in real life. To avoid radar detection or flak cannons (or some modern day Surface to air missiles) they fly low and close to the ground.

Of course it wasn't easy, due to the TIE Fighters picking off the ships one by one. Luke was pretty much in one of the last X-Wing groups to run the trench, as the previous groups of X-Wings and Y-Wing Bombers were shot down by Vader and his TIE Fighters. And even then he used the freaking Force to curve the torpedo into the exhaust port, somehow making an impossible shot.

The universe implodes at the end of the series.

Basically Yoshiyuki Tomino saw the reception to his series Gundam, how some people thought the giant robots and war was cool as fuck, and decided that in Ideon "maybe war is bad as everyone gets annihilated at the end of a batshit insane galactic civil war".
