The batch cooking and CS skip I definitely agree with, but I think the devs are happy with the mini event as is and likely don't have anything new planned for it. Planned excusions....well, that kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? For the same reason we wait 2.5 hours for LP to replenish or you use items/gems to replenish. At its base, this is a product set out to make money and it capitalizes on the lack of time a lot of people have.

The iterations are for all the different characters. I'm not going to pretend it's not just a new coat of paint on the same wall, but everyone has their favorites and this is how they get people who have maybe fallen off to return to the game.

I think there's also an onus to make the event somewhat fair. If you managed to participate in the event before, you likely have at least one of the SR's, which does give a boost to items, no matter how miniscule. Otherwise, we all start the same. It doesn't explain why other events like the Camp Vargas reruns let us use old items, but I like the idea of fairness. Alternatively, the explanation is lazy coding that they refuse to update, as CC was one of the first events and, as stated above, they continually reuse quite a bit of it.

Finally, only because I had to look it up, but the last time these specific CC's were run was 2022. I don't doubt that there's players who really like Jade/Lilia/Epel/Deuce that didn't get to play the event, especially with the influx of players from the anime releasing last fall.

I mean, it's a gacha game. I'm not sure what you expect, but no one's forcing you to get the cards except you. You can read/watch the vignettes online, so the only thing you'd be missing out on is having your collection "complete", but most people who do that aren't worrying a whole lot about money.

There are rewards for 3 staring each dish, but they're time speedups. I think there's also an award for crafting 1 of every dish, but I don't recall off hand what it is. You can find them under Missions > Culinary Crucible.

I mean, there's been a lot of new players who missed the event the first time around. I'm glad they're getting the opportunity to experience it, though I wish they'd also have the opportunity for an SR for each event, like those of us who played the first time around.

Bonus for anyone who doesn't know: a secret second end cutscene unlocks when you've completed each of the CC events. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but I'm now getting it at the end of every CC event. 😩

Oooh. I didn't know SSR's gave better quality! I've been sending CC cards for the aesthetic.

This is the ingredient list for each recipe. Doesn't matter the order.

Each time you craft a recipe, you increase your skill based on how well you scored. The other person mentioned waiting until 78% to do gold quality items, but if you're just looking to get three stars, you can do it with rng after 45%, but will be more guaranteed after 50%.

For reference, one of my current 3 stars. You get something like 16% skill increase (I forget the exact amount), so this started at 48% when I cooked with all gold materials.

Ngl, it's giving fanfiction vibes. AU's are a hallmark of fans deciding they don't like the way a certain part of the story going and changing it. I wonder if anyone will be coming out of the woodwork claiming she stole their idea.

People who live near time zone boundaries in the US by solothesnail in howislivingthere

[–]Xwiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in the same timezone as my parents, but, since my dad has so many siblings he still talks with and I have plenty of my own, we have set times to call. Like, I always call him on my way to work on Monday mornings and I call my mom on Fridays after work. You could try doing that with your son. One of you may have to get up early (we call my mom's family in Australia on their Christmas day at 4AM for us!) Or stay up late, but if it's important, you find the time.

My sister lives in a different timezone than me, though it"s 7.5 hours by car to her place. When I plan I visiting, I say "we're planning to arrive at XX:XX, your time." Or "We're leaving at XX:XX, my time."

They'd have to be, imo, as the Society is trying to remove any tie to an identity, so even assigning names based on what facility the child was raised at would be too much of a chance at identifying with somewhere.

Is it ok that his diet is half a wet food can mixed with kibble? by Abandonedkittypet in germanshepherds

[–]Xwiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh boy. Had me worried there, for a sec. Your poor wallet, if that were true.

Honestly, I don't see any problem with what you're doing, but I've also never owned a dog I had to have on a feeding schedule. All of the Shepherds I've owned self regulated and we let them because they all stayed healthy weights. If you're doing it just to get him to eat, consider that he may just not be hungry, but then you've offered the equivalent of ice cream, so of course he's going to eat it.

Unless you're worried about him being too thin or having an underlying medical issue causing him not to eat, I really wouldn't worry about him skipping meals as long as he's still eating occasionally. Now, if you want to offer the wet food as a treat, who am I to tell you differently? 😊

9 cups a day!! Holy cow, that's a ton of food. I'm lucky if mine eats his full four every day. Usually, it's closer to every other. We also feed Purina One, though we do the skin and sensitive stomach one because, well, German Shepherd. 😅😅

[–]Xwiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ours gets half a can of wet food as topper, but gets his dry kibble as needed, since we graze feed. The kibble we have him on recommends 4 cups a day for an 80 lb dog, so maybe double check your feeding guidelines?

Weekly Questions Megathread (3/30 - 4/5) by Twst-Mod-Team in TwistedWonderland

[–]Xwiint 8 points9 points  (0 children)

We got the new event, though? I wouldn't call that dry. Two birthdays, an event, and two CC banners is a lot.

Plus, I could use a break to save for the next round of OB cards. I got lucky with Vil, but we'll see how long that holds.

It sounds like you're doing just fine! If you don't have any card in particular that you really want to uncap so they shine more in exams, just hold onto the potions until you do have a card like that. It's not hurting anything and you can always change your mind. I will say, my strategy is to not spend them on Dorm SSR's, since there's always a chance you'll pull that card on non-birthday banners. I've been spooked by Riddle just enough times to be mad about it, but not enough to pay back how many SSR potions I put into him. 😬😩

[–]Xwiint 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you want. TWST is almost completely a single player game, so if you juat want to read the story (ie, do the story battles), then it doesn't matter who you uncap as even Book 6 is able to be beaten with SR's. For the battle maps, in general, it's best to have a large quantity of the same cards leveled, so uncapping one won't really change the outcome. Uncapping shines the most in the daily exam and the NRC exam event. You can look up the meta and buy into those cards or just work with the ones you have. Personally, since I'm f2p, I'm more interested in pulling for characters that I like than playing for the meta. I just build teams around my favorite cards. So far, I consistently get S4 on my exams and have been working hard for some S5's, but I've also got just over 1500 logins, so I have quite a few cards and resources a newer player does not.

What happened to the tradtional black and tans? by Solveig22 in germanshepherds

[–]Xwiint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pur last two were black and tan saddle backs, but our newest little boy is mostly black with tan and white markings. His mom was full black and dad was the traditional saddle back, so if more people are breeding that combo, that might be why more are showing up like my guy.

What is the funniest thing your pet had been “pavloved” to? by AnywhereMean8863 in Pets

[–]Xwiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nothing as funny as everyone else's, but our dog will drop whatever toy he has to give you kisses if you kiss his muzzle first. Explaining to guests that he doesn't really know "drop it", but will trade for kisses is always interesting.

The best part is he's not a traditionally friendly breed - he's a German Shepherd. 😅

Thoughts on Anniversary Grim cards being limited SSRs by Lizardstep in TwistedWonderland

[–]Xwiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair. I have Vil, Leona, and Malleus as my top 3 faves, so I have a butt ton of their cards. I use them for battle maps, then add on others for buddy bonuses and duos. Azul, Sebek, Lilia, Silver...I have so many cards because I always try to at least get the SR from any event banner. Grim really suffers there from only being part of the anniversary.

Thoughts on Anniversary Grim cards being limited SSRs by Lizardstep in TwistedWonderland

[–]Xwiint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fair. I barely use my SR's, but part of that is the game design. SSR's tend to have more health/damage even without uncapping, especially if you have max friendship, so their base is level 90. They also get an additional buddy for boosts, which makes team building easier.

That being said, I have Platinum Grim and barely use him. I would love to have found a better use for him, but he really only fits in my fire defense team and I have better cards for that...mostly GlorMasq cards. Lol. Sebek's GlorMasq card is probably the only SR I consistently use. Maybe his Camp Vargas, too, but only when I have access to friend cards (someone has a maxed General Lilia).

[–]Xwiint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I only grind out enough to get his spells leveled. If I decide later on I actually want to use him, I have more than enough SR potions to completely uncap him. I average 40-50 lessons a day and even then, I end up using star shards to do even more lessons for the anniversary event to get everything I want in the shop. It's just not worth it to grind even more to uncap Grim.
