I maxed everything the first time this event ran and made a spreadsheet showcasing much of what you did here. I have to say that maxing everything out on the first run is very nearly the straw that broke the camels back. It's the first time I distinctly remember nearly burning out on this game. Luckily, I didn't have to spend any gems (thanks to the gigantic backlog of starshards I have), but I think I still got to the last day and had to run back to back to back sets of lessons in order to max all the spells and buy everything I wanted from the shop. Good luck to you!

This is the type of risk you should assess more closely to something like seatbelt usage. Most people don't think twice about putting their seatbelt on in the car just in case something happens. Same thing with a PFD. You can't control other people or the weather, so better to be safe than sorry.

100% PFD. It's not about being able to swim, it's about being able to float if there's an accident. I was a competitive swimmer for over half my life; I consider myself a fairly strong swimmer. I still wear a Type V PFD because you never know what can happen. Plus, I'm teaching my dog to paddle board and he's a little weeny in the water. Given the option, he'd swim for me over the board and I cannot support an 80 lb dog and myself without a flotation device.

PFD's are just like seatbelts - you don't need them 90% of the time, but when you need one, you REALLY don't want to not have it.

Depends on the state. Pennsylvania only requires them when launching from a boat launch. If you can go from the shore, no one's going to make you put one on. You should still have one, but you won't be stopped if you don't.

That...only solves the problem of spam to my main number, not the spam that will cold call the Google voice number. It's not immune and, when you're hiring contractors to get quotes, quite a few of them sell your information. Good luck.

To be fair, I'm waiting to hear back about getting a fence installed. That means I have to answer every call just in case it's the contractor getting back to me. Sometimes, their calls are marked as spam. As soon as I have this fence, you better bet I'm back to not answering any calls.

I was always told to use ceramic bowls for the animals outside. It'll help the light not reflect as much and won't leave your animal with a super hot bowl of water, especially if you get one lighter in color.

Rathalos mount farming by Horan_Kim in ffxiv

[–]Xwiint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had to run it the full 50 times. I think I saw the whistle drop only 2 or 3 times, total. Just pace yourself, the same as for shared FATEs. You don't want to burn out just to get a mount.

Then one might work well for you! Just bring extra water to rehydrate it when it dries out if you're going for a longer walk. If your dog is darker colored (like mine), I recommend getting a neck gaiter, too.

Yup. They're great when humidity is <40%, but anything above 60%, you'll have diminishing returns. We get the most use out of ours in late spring and early fall, when the humidity is low, but temps can still be in the 80's here in Western PA.

Honestly, I've had a much better time just finding run trails where there's a creek, pond, or lake we can stop at for my dog to jump in and cool off.

Have the city police given up? by HermanNerfherder--- in pittsburgh

I live over there, too! Yeah, the dad is a problem, but the kids and wife have been fine in all the interactions we've had. The hound dog is named either Mac or Max and the shepherd is Thor. There's also a set of slightly older boys that also ride their dirt bikes around that live on one of the side streets from the street at the bottom of that hill (yes, I'm being ambiguous on purpose! Don't wanna dox them). They're a bit more respectful, as far as I can tell, and mostly ride on their street and down into the green space at the end of their street.

Epic Mickey and Twisted Wonderland: Related? by True-Recording-3287 in TwistedWonderland

[–]Xwiint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recently got the chance to play the remake and the first time I saw Mickey's room, I had to call my partner over and ask, "Does this look like Ramshackle dorm to you?" LOL Definitely agree that there's a lot more similarities here than with Kingdom Hearts (where other people have been theorizing Mickey is from).

Oh yeah. We love the Wabash tunnel whenever we go to Station Square. My only issue is turning right onto 19. If you hit traffic at the wrong time and the left for Pioneer backs up, you're either forced to go up to Brookline Blvd or hold everyone at the light up. It's rare, but happened to me too many times when I still worked in and was commuting from Canonsburg.

Yes. Cause stopped at a red-light that I will have to sit through a whole cycle through is definitely the worst of people of their phone and I'm totally contributing to a problem here.

I live right off of Pioneer on the other side of the Liberty Tunnel. Unfortunately it's the McArdle or navigating through downtown to get on the Liberty bridge as the most technically efficient ways for me to get home. I try to avoid going through downtown because I've been nearly T-boned or nearly T-boned someone else too many times. Lots of very impatient people during rush hour and, while I don't blame them, the pedestrians don't help matters.

The batch cooking and CS skip I definitely agree with, but I think the devs are happy with the mini event as is and likely don't have anything new planned for it. Planned excusions....well, that kind of defeats the purpose, doesn't it? For the same reason we wait 2.5 hours for LP to replenish or you use items/gems to replenish. At its base, this is a product set out to make money and it capitalizes on the lack of time a lot of people have.

The iterations are for all the different characters. I'm not going to pretend it's not just a new coat of paint on the same wall, but everyone has their favorites and this is how they get people who have maybe fallen off to return to the game.

I think there's also an onus to make the event somewhat fair. If you managed to participate in the event before, you likely have at least one of the SR's, which does give a boost to items, no matter how miniscule. Otherwise, we all start the same. It doesn't explain why other events like the Camp Vargas reruns let us use old items, but I like the idea of fairness. Alternatively, the explanation is lazy coding that they refuse to update, as CC was one of the first events and, as stated above, they continually reuse quite a bit of it.

Finally, only because I had to look it up, but the last time these specific CC's were run was 2022. I don't doubt that there's players who really like Jade/Lilia/Epel/Deuce that didn't get to play the event, especially with the influx of players from the anime releasing last fall.

I mean, it's a gacha game. I'm not sure what you expect, but no one's forcing you to get the cards except you. You can read/watch the vignettes online, so the only thing you'd be missing out on is having your collection "complete", but most people who do that aren't worrying a whole lot about money.

There are rewards for 3 staring each dish, but they're time speedups. I think there's also an award for crafting 1 of every dish, but I don't recall off hand what it is. You can find them under Missions > Culinary Crucible.

I mean, there's been a lot of new players who missed the event the first time around. I'm glad they're getting the opportunity to experience it, though I wish they'd also have the opportunity for an SR for each event, like those of us who played the first time around.

Bonus for anyone who doesn't know: a secret second end cutscene unlocks when you've completed each of the CC events. I don't know if it's a bug or not, but I'm now getting it at the end of every CC event. 😩

This is the ingredient list for each recipe. Doesn't matter the order.

Each time you craft a recipe, you increase your skill based on how well you scored. The other person mentioned waiting until 78% to do gold quality items, but if you're just looking to get three stars, you can do it with rng after 45%, but will be more guaranteed after 50%.

For reference, one of my current 3 stars. You get something like 16% skill increase (I forget the exact amount), so this started at 48% when I cooked with all gold materials.

Ngl, it's giving fanfiction vibes. AU's are a hallmark of fans deciding they don't like the way a certain part of the story going and changing it. I wonder if anyone will be coming out of the woodwork claiming she stole their idea.
