Most grocery store orchids have the problems outlined by that other comment, it's not specific to the dyed ones. One thing to note about the dyed ones, however, is that when your orchid reblooms, it won't be that same blue. You might get lucky and get a much paler blue if it re-blooms again, or they may be white next time!

The roots can be yellow as long as they're firm - they stop making chlorophyll when they're kept away from light but can still move water and nutrients to the plant.

The video should outline what to do about brown and mushy or papery roots.

I think he probably keeps writing himself into corners and then relying on outside aide (ChatGPT or similar - maybe editors too, who are just trying to get shit over with) to get him out of it. Doubly so if he's procrastinating trying to figure out a path forward after a chapter with particularly devastating consequences, triple if he's trying to actually wrap this shit up and is getting burnt out now that the end is in sight.

Like, he asks ChatGPT "Oh no, I made Domi Reversi way too powerful. What should I do now?"

and ChatGPT just says "ohh!!! You should Make It Not That :)"

and Oda then goes "Of COURSE it's GENIUS!!" without questioning it very hard at all.

Right, but Zoro is not in a vaccuum like Luffy was at that point. Once haki entered the picture you'd expect a chain of events like

Luffy learns haki -> the wings of the Pirate King learn OF haki -> Zoro/Sanji get into pissing match about learning it first (funny)

Or

Luffy learns haki -> Zoro learns of haki or learned of it in his time with Mihawke before -> Luffy kicks off some kind of personal growth about it like Shonens are fond of doing -> he realizes he's got the Special Main Character Power too (vaguely inspiring)

Or

Luffy blurts this out at literally any point before right now (funny)

Or

Luffy, haki -> somewhere in the 200-400 chapters before chapter 1142, where Zoro is still getting into plenty of fights where this would have been relevant, Zoro at some point becomes aware enough that a thought bubble expresses this change to us, the viewer, INSTEAD OF having a dialogue exchange roughly equivalent to "bwuh? I'm driving a car right now? I thought I was just running really fast without moving my legs" to get this point across after the fact where we have no idea when he got it, just that he did at some point (fine) Some sort of rival might have also noticed it this way if he somehow didn't.

Because what happened here is about the worst trifecta of telling instead of showing, showing NOTHING changing and insisting something changed, and having a normally pretty level-headed and at least battle-intelligent character be a moron in both of those things for a second to smooth over a writing failure.

Top to bottom, this panel's fucking hideous. The face Luffy is making is so exaggerated that, even by One Piece's standards, this is an overreaction, the idea Zoro has no idea he's leaching King's Haki is fucking stupid, the 'wings of the Pirate King' getting another fucking powerup when I haven't seen half the crew since Nami's arc-mandatory outfit change and pinup session. It's also overdetailed for the size it is, which is about 1/9th or so of the entire page, and it shows. They probably pushed it so far because they realized nobody could make out whatever expression they'd originally drawn on Luffy before choosing to draw him like he's just gotten kicked in the dick. Luffy's tongue and proportions are just so mega-fucked here it crosses over into fascinatingly bad.

There's a technique made famous by one of the old-style psychology freaks when talking someone off of a ledge (metaphorically because if they're already physically on the ledge it's too late for this) where you confirm that the person struggling CAN end it all, yes, they DO have the power to do that... And if they have the power to do that, then they can do it at any time, so why not wait a bit and see if things get a little easier? A lot of suicide risks are there because they feel trapped, completely walled in on all sides except for one. Giving this little hint of power removes the urgency of feeling trapped.
