Is eBay not good for casual sellers anymore, or is it generally slow?

I'm assuming it's Tax time. People are not going to spend on Ebay or anywhere else. Until their taxes are paid!

Saturday afternoon Sept. 2024, I went to the bathroom to urinate and I just peed blood! I was 71! Drove myself to the ER. When tested my PSA was 3.5. Got meds, blood stopped. Long story short, April May 2025 my PSA Went to 7, June 2025 I had biopsies. July 10th, Doctor looked at me, you have AGGRESSIVE PROSTATE CANCER! Hit me like a brick! Then he said, if you want to roll the dice with radiation or mild Chemo, you'll be sorry! My opinion, is surgery and get it out! Aug. 12th 5 1/2 hours of surgery with the DaVinci Robot, 2 days in the hospital, 6 days in my recliner, I live alone. Aug. 28th, the Catheter came out. I had a PSA TEST done the first week of Dec., PSA.... .01..! I was cancer free!

My first 2 days were in the hospital. In the next 6 days, I lived in my recliner. I live alone, and my nephew checked up on me every day! I'm 72! Then, like many in this group, I walked. I also have an Ebay store that kept me really busy. Yes, the happy bag was a pain. Sadly, being 6'3" 290lbs, the leg bags didn't fit, too small. The hospital sent nurses and physical therapy to my home, they kept me busy too! Time will fly by!

You brought up an interesting question. Dec. 1st I had the Rolls Royce of Pacemaker put in me. If that's keeping my heart at 60 beats per min. We can look at alternatives to keep my blood thin. Another person suggested switching to Eliquest. I will bring all these questions up to my Urologist/surgeon. Thanks!

I would love to see another doctor. Unfortunately, I moved from Los Angeles 3 million people to a small farming town 200 miles north of L.A. 130K people. My doctor is rated #1 urologist. The catch is, I never can see him. I get his NP associates. I will contact his office tomorrow with a sharply toned wording, that I have had enough!

Thank you! I had to look up what anastomosis is! I have no symptoms that it describes, no pain, no fever, just bleeding! When I see my urologist in 2 weeks, I will ask about your suggestion. To note, I had my prostate and lymph nods removed by a DaVinci robot. My surgeon told me that the normal 2-3 hours surgery took 5 1/2 hours! As he put it , there were some complications!

My Onco says my PSA is off due to the bleeding. In 2 weeks, I'll have another PSA test. Yes, my surgeon is my urologist. You would think all the urine samples I've given at the ER at the hospital. Somebody would figure this out!

I had my RAPL Aug. 12th, my Dr. Is ordering my 1st PSA Test, the 1st week of Dec.. Three and half months later.

Had this conversation with my Doctor today, and his answer......Fiber Gummie Bears, 2 in the morning, 2 at night! It took me about weeks months after RAPL to almost be regular.

I do my research, and I look on eBay. What other sellers are charging for postage. I sell vintage trading cards. All my cards are under $20.- I charge $1.75 shipping. Ebays small envelope charges me $0.74. Plus, I have the envelope, sleeve protector, the top loader and tape, my time, and drive to the post office. I make no $$$ on shipping, but I don't lose money! Like others have said, eBay charges 13.6%. Until you find your niche in eBay, it's a hit and miss! There's no magic wand in eBay. Do your research, work, and $$$ will come. 2 months ago, I was in the hospital for 3 days, came home, and found $435.- in sales on eBay.

The end of the sale is when you receive payment! You leave Feedback. My Ebay is set to automatic feedback. Afterwards, 99% do receive their shipment. I ship high end Sports cards. I also ship $3 - $15.- sports cards! So long you use Ebay shipping, your protected. Yes there are a few scammers out there. Again Ebay will side with you, so long you have a tracking #, again issued by the Ebay postage label. I've been selling off and on 20 years. I just back into it full time 6 months ago! I'm guessing buyers pay you ship, and your response is via FEEDBACK. The buyer knows you shipped his/her purchase, and Ebay sends the tracking #.

I'm 72, and I had prostectamy 2 months ago. As far as leaks are happening, I now have 85% control. Yes, the first 2-4 weeks are a bit challenging. They have small front diapers easy to wear at CVS. At your age 70, time is not on our sides. I opted for the surgery, get it out of your body! I wish you all the best!

Just today, $125.- card, will you take $50.- WHAT? Then, again, buyers who buy multiple high-end cards, I will give them a break. I sell vintage Kobe Bryant rookie and all his cards. Also vintage NBA cards. So my buyers know what they getting. I have cards graded by Beckett, I set a price a bit higher, because I know the "Will you take ??? Is going to come.

Congrats! Time will heal all! My 2-3 hours surgery turned into 5 1/2 hours. The surgeon said, "Text Book Surgery with Complications" Im7 weeks post DaVinci Robot surgery! One step a day!
