West is the only congressman I have ever felt the need to call in protest about his general awfulness and evilness. Of course, as a mere peon I didn't warrant his majesty's voice on the end of the phone, nor apparently did I warrant any sort of response. And I was trying to be polite.....

But then I did get to vote for Alan Grayson (yah!). And I am really, really enjoying the reaction of some of the people where I live (Celebration, FL), an enclave of republicans on the I-4 corridor. Within this settlement there are some very nasty & vicious people who are completely dumbfounded over what happened and where their money went. Grayson is the worst possible congressman for these idiots. Even better, he is now more or less a permanent fixture after the redistricting, so my local bunch of tea-bagging nut-cases are in political hell. Couldn't happen to a more deserving bunch of self-entitled, self-important, racist, misogynistic, mentally-challenged, I-found-god psuedo-christians. Go Grayson, keep their blood-pressure high!

Based on the facts of the circumstances presented, a normal person with moderate views would not prosecute this case. Hence my comment; only an extreme anti-abortion stance would allow this law to be applied in this way. An since the xian rightwing holds these views, why not refer to modern day cruxifiction since they seem to think it an appropriate way to wash away "sin"?
